If Sony decides to offer free online gaming to all of its games I may consider buying a PS4. Now this generation I got a PS3 didn't bought a xbox 360 instead in 2009 I got a gaming PC what after hearing so many good things about it went and checked it out. Guess what I did not miss out on two high profile xbox 360 games Alan Wake and limbo. So with those two games I really didn't see the point of owning a 360. Now I like the blogger and respect his/her decisions, but ...

I am not sure very few wii u games which are all third party at the moment since Nintendo games lack online gaming. It may be cheaper than its competition ; however, is pretty barebones as far as games, marketing, online gaming, etc... I say build a PC or get a PS4 ( crossing fingers for Sony to bring back free online gaming for all games not just free to play games).

It will be a huge loss for Microsoft to sell a kinectless xbox one due to no one will buy a kinect peripheral and it will fragment it's audience. Nevertheless at least now the xbox one looks more competitive and I am glad that xbox owners and fans pretty much gamers in general said no and told Microsoft to go kick rocks.

I don't agree nor disagree but in my opinion, I see this as a victory for gamers and it proves that our voices are being heard. In a lot of ways I am glad that gamers screwed Microsoft vision it was terrible. Whether Kinect is used or not is up to Microsoft and game developers. Microsoft still has an ace in the hole which is live tv lol I meant the illumini room. The one that uses kinect and transforms your living room into a gaming world.

Finally our gaming voices are being heard, this proves that xbox fans and console gamers in general are finally putting their foot down and saying no. I mean this far this have been not only a great year of gaming but a year when gamers see that by putting their foot down and saying hell no even a multi billion dollar corporation will change its ways. In this case Microsoft

For what system due to on PC it didn't have that issue except the numerous bugs and glitches.

I like the blog and that's why I buy most of my games nowadays during a steam sale. Is just getting a game during its release 99% of the time it comes with a bunch of bugs, glitches, etc. To the point of that $60.00 price tag plus tax is insulting. Is Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, etc worth $60.00 no. But hey I don't complain much because I bought Tomb Raider for $25.00, I bought Assassins Creed 3 for $25.00. But am I going to pay $60.00 for one game no...

The way I see it is to get rid of consoles all together. Not that I hate consoles is that consoles are closed platforms and need exclusive software to sell say consoles. Having exclusive games reduced and cross platforming may render multiple consoles useless an example would be during the console gaming crash of 1983 were there were multiple consoles but all of these consoles had the same game library.......

Ha ha hahaha ummm no console gamers missed out on survival horror games like amnesia dark descent, lone survivor, Lucius, home, slender, cry of fear. Adventure games like Emerald City Confidential, To the moon, Gemini Rue, the next big thing. The only third party games PC gamers missed on that were worth the while were Christine and Red Dead Redemption. If you are talking about Sony exclusives I agree but Microsoft and Nintendo just keep bringing the same exclusives over and over a...

In my opinion before I get head chopped. Is either way, I mean if you are survival horror fan PC is the way to go ( amnesia dark descent, lone survivor, Lucius, slender, home, plus consoles survival horror games like Alan Wake and limbo) [upcoming survival horror games among the sleep, amnesia a machine for pigs, outlast, evil within, dread out, Constantine, Asylum], if you like platformers well you still better off with PC gaming giana sisters twisted dreams, cave story, tr...

You were doing great except for the last part is going to be an issue for next generation consoles in regards to the games having errors due to cloud computing and open world.

Well at least with STEAM I get to play all of my games that I bought since 2003, floppy disk games using dos box or mudds. Any CD based game. I get to enjoy free online gaming. So yeah I will say no to that.

That would of been true back in the PS2 days. But Socom Confrontation was terrible to the point I could not play it due to constant freezing, game crashing, lots and lots of glitches like floating in the air, etc. Bethesda games always need patching even the console versions. Gears of War had a soupy fog. I don't know ease of use really tell that to the xbox 360 owners that had to go through hoops and loops just to cancel their gold membership, RROD, disc tray jamming, etc. PS3...

Really go play star ocean, how about mega man or bartman. Ugh today's games have less content unless you pay for it, a lot shorter, etc etc

4701d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

What please tell me you are talking about NES games which like today don't offer a lot of content ; however, Playstation era prior to PS3 console games had more content than today. Go play GTA San Andrés, star ocean 2 had 80 different endings, branching paths, mind blowing puzzles that zizzle your brain, fps games with multiple paths, secret corridors, free unlockables which is now DLC that you have to pay. Did you ever played tony hawk pro skater, ssx, need for Speed un...

Yikes that's too much for a video game but are the job salaries high over there. For I don't understand why games cost so much in Australia.

Super Mario all stars was $20.00 plus tax, Aladdin (yes there was a Disney game for the Disney movie Aladdin) was also $20.00 plus tax, Jurassic Park was also $20.00 plus tax. My point is that back then there was no set price point meaning not every NES game cost $60.00 or $90.00 but retail stores used to compete one another let's say for example toys r us has super Mario world for $60.00 plus tax in contrast wal mart has the same game for $40.00. Now today every single console ga...

I am more excited about what the future of PC gaming offers. Consoles not so much anymore a shame since I played the NES in 1989. I always got excited for consoles but not this generation is like the blogger said it has that been there done that feeling. Now that television sets offer Netflix, Hulu plus, Facebook, MySpace, etc. without the need for a console. On PC I get to create my own pool of games not chosen by corporations but by me via kickstarter or green light. I can fix my g...
