Ahh, right. That was it.
Honestly, I think the entire movie is miscast, then again, the plot wont even resemble any of the games anyhow...
Why. Why. Why do these awesome game concepts inevitably get lost when they try to become movies...Especially Uncharted, the game practically IS an interactive movie. The plot was ready-made and would have worked fine. Why do they have to throw out what makes these games compelling. What is wrong with Hollywood???
TBH, I thought this had been a codename for an MMO that eventually got renamed and transformed into FFIV...
To all the "Jimmy sucks at the game comments" like others point out, he is an entertainer, obviously, he does not spend much time playing games. At least he tries..and at least this MAJOR Sony game gets national TV exposure. Also, even the ND dev was having a bit of an issue shooting at the beginning, the game prolly is a bit buggy at this early state. It does however already look phenomenal, and even more fluid than U2.
BTW, anyone else notice that this time at...
This is the kind of review we have been looking for. It may not get a 90+ in the end, when they ultimately score it, but one can see from this preview (nearly 20 min of the 50 minute show) that they actually know what they are talking about.
Inside Sim Racing is probably the only credible source for sim review in general. They live and breath sim racing (all aspects of it, including which wheels, pedal set and rig are the best). Also, I thought that body feedback sensor thi...
Yeah, I know I totally forgot Mass Effect and TLG...
You are right about the many 2s as well. I guess i should have said it is the year for epic sequels!
This is a travesty beyond most. Its not even a reboot of the franchise (not that one was needed..on the contrary). What this is, is a giant F-U to all the fans of the SSX franchise.
I am honestly shocked at what EA is trying to do to this once great and beloved set of games. I mean what the HELL were they thinking????
I suppose there is the hope that maybe when NO ONE buys this misdirected Tom Clancy/ Modern Warfare devil-child monster of an aborted abombination, the geni...
Yikes, it really is the year of 3s
Gears 3
KZ3
Resistance 3
Uncharted 3
Motorstorm (3)
Deus Ex (3)
WOW, very impressed!! No. Really very surprised. Has Sony yet this generation advertised a game this early?
Not only does it look better, it looks far more varied as well. MANY different envirionments. I am really impressed with this teaser commercial.
Wow, Sony on the ball with advertizing?? Anyone know when this commercial will begin airing?
Here is What project I8 looked like before it turned into resistance...
The animations of R3 (what is said to be gameplay) match it. Actually they exceed it. Further, the blood/gibbing of the Chimera is off the charts incredible. And finally, the explosion effects look high resolution and really impressive color-wise. They are far better than the soft spashes of low res Orange that we saw in R2.. Infact, this is the first game that seems to have explosions similar in app...
Hey, I'm not the only one that thinks this...

Hmmmm this reminds me of the very first concept trailer for resistance (before it was called resistance) where the chimera screamed and it had awesome animation. Is this trailer in game and not a target render? Kinda looked like it.
If it really was all in game. I think this looks better then killzone...
Troll attempt is obvious. Fail post. Try again or better yet, go back to your hole.
Dude, WTF. What everyone else is saying. Is this really the new SSX. Its like the Horrible horrible bastard child of Modern Warfare and Cool-borders. This is not SSX, what are they thinking!!!!:?????
Bring back EA Big...Please! SSX is supposed to have humor and irreverence, not tactical seriousness and Tom Clancy Plot. This is total bullshit.
Sorry have to repost from other thread, I feel this needs to be repeated. Insomniac have really done something special here.
To be perfectly honest, the in game for this trailer, actually matched the fidelity of the "i8" E3 2005 trailer (the original Resistance before it was officially called that). Some people may think that is not a big deal but truth be told, the lighting and (some) textures, especially the trees, were never actually realized in the original game. Then, ...
WOW. I find myself saying that a lot these days, especially for Sony Exclusive games. I have to say, the only multi game I am looking forwards to next year is the Deus Ex prequil, not because of the graphics but the world. This, U3 it is the whole package, it looks like it will be amazing all over again. I can't wait!
I'll bite. Here is the problem with Crysis. It looks photoreal until it doesn't. That is to say, there are elements within the game that end up looking totally fake (whether that be animation or a texture that is a bit off whatever). Point is, when that is seen the whole illusion comes crashing down. This does not happen with Uncharted, because everything is basically uniformly stylized so we never have that break in illusion. That is the difference.
Well, you will continue to wait then, Human revolution is a prequel..(And a fantastic looking one , I might add!)
