There are a lot of low resolution textures detracting from things, what I like is that the lighting seems more uniform across the whole image. The cardboard vegetation doesn't seem to stick out quite as much, as what we have seen from earlier shots.
I'm confused, SE said specifically Versus wouldn't be at Jumpfest....

Oh wait, no I'm not! It is just more of the same, SE has been lying about absolutely everything since this generation began. Why change now....
Watch the trailers...the Shakespeare quotes are from Hamlet.
This doesn't necessarily mean the game is based on Hamlet, however.
Based on this trailer, KZ3. However I have seen screens of this game (the supposed PC version) and they blow this trailer and KZ3 out of the water.
You know, I'd like to believe you, but they said this is the PC version. If this truly is console footage, color me really impressed. This DOES look graphically really good for a console. Not the PC though. The thing is that I've seen some supposed PC screens and they do look amazing, so yeah, I guess I have some hope that the PC version has not been gimped, we will see though.
Actually if you follow the GAF thread on uncharted 3, near the last page is a link to the download of the video that got pulled...the non Jimmy version. It looks great.
Read my post above you. This is my point. There are no real PC gamer journalists anymore..They all seem to think that a PC is just a console with better graphics, dumb dumb dumb. It is infuriating!
Quote from preview:
"That last part seems like the thing in Crysis 2 that's really starting to click as I spend more time with it. In the last game, much of the size and scale of environments seemed a little gratuitous. In Crysis 2, there's a sense of intention present in the level design thus far. Environments aren't designed around being impressive, they're tailored to specific combat scenarios, and it's really working to make playing it more interesting.&qu...
Ok guys reality check here. I don't think anyone here that has commented so far, played the first Crysis, especially if you are saying this looks so amazing and somehow better than the first game..
Graphics wise (and that is not what matters right, Its the gameplay) it seems many elements took a massive dive in quality from the first game. Sure, extremely high res textures (except for the awful looking trees, so so looking cars and bright red and yellow cartoony explosions), fan...
What is with sites uploading screens to such small sizes?
It looks great though wish I could see them at the proper 720P resolution.
Better if they weren't awful quality scans...
If you click the different tabs on that site, there are shots that are suposedly from each of the major platforms. However, I don't believe for a second that any of the PS3 or 360 shots are in any way representative of real gameplay. Some of those actually look amazing. Most of the PC shots look good too. There are a few things though that look horrible the most obvious being those 2 dimensional tree leaf maps. They MASSIVELY stick out on what otherwise would look pretty good (althou...
What I wish is that they had the graphics engine of Heavy rain with this animation system. THAT would be the ultimate experience. This is almost on the level of that "Emily" lightstage demo. I cannot wait for this technology to be in all games!!!!!
I want to see more without the live action, game looks incredible.
These two things effect each other, but art direction is key. In this case the lighting, animation and effects quality in this trailer is beyond anything we have seen on any console. It looks better than Killzone 3. Graphically, yeah there is some bad aliasing and dithering, however the object motion blur, complex chimeran explosion effects "auger vision" and lighting engine aproach a prerendered CG look. It beats KZ2 and 3 on that front. I honestly hope there isn't tricke...
Art direction and lighting and animation, anti aliasing is cake
Ha, I'm just playin'. Seriously, though if SE delays this into 2012 just for some retarded financial reasons..I will be really pissed off! If it is because it needs more work, I am all for the delay...Please make it perfect.
I love how the game itself really is oozing the amazing Blade-runneresque atmosphere of the original.
I really hope it maintains all of the deep RPG qualities of the original Deus Ex and doesn't go all balls out shootery like so many games seem to be trying to do these days.
Off topic:
Unbelievably horrible flash player kept stuttering agghh
On topic:
It looks way better than KZ2, especially from a gameplay point, can't wait. Also, cutscenes look way more detailed (and awesome!)
They look the same....Is there something I'm missing?
