Ahh. So you finally got one too! LoL at POG's Comment about this game's colors filter being a green HAZE. Ha ha ha ha... Yeah, anyway, this game looks fantastic, the character models are great, the environments are crisp and the game seems to run pretty well given the demo stuff I've seen. And now I don't have to wait until 08' to play it ;)
Thanks!
indeed, I am both now, and I agree, simply stunning! Just wish they were screens, not scans, happy gaming everybody.
Thanks, man! I prolly wont be posting much more today, (for obvious reasons, cheers)!.
I just got a ps3 for my B-day today!!
Great news on GT5, I don't remember seeing the in-car before..Anyway it looks awesome, wish the pics were not scans and were larger, oh well...I'm off. Happy Memorial Day to everyone.
If memory serves, Cannon and Toshiba settled the legal dispute this past January. I think it was anounced that production is on track for 2008. Honestly, though, I think the OLED tech is more promising as it offers both the most versatility and highest performance.
AAGGGHH. Need...PS3..NOW. Seriously, I want to play this!!!
You are prolly right Kewlkat (about people not bickering as much). Hmm, no in car for Forza though: advantage GT5. Anyhoo, thanks Deep, this is great, very welcome info!
Its finally happening, my, about time!! These were originally supposed to come out late 2005, then 2006, but now it finally is happening. This is one of the technological holy grails. The problem was that the blue oled had too short of a life..Sounds like they finally got over that hurdle.
This display tech is the ultimate: Flawless CRT picture quality with better than lcd (potentially bendable) form-factor. That sci-fi world of wireless, paper thin, deformable displays ...
This reminds me of that "The Wall" game demo, actually, is this the same engine?

Ahh, First this is a GAMERS site and for a multi-platform game, the story appears in all the different sections that the game will eventually be on, duh. Second, this time the demo was reportedly on a high end PC, not the 360.
my god, did you even check the screen comparos like what icechai and Sashy provided. Dude, it is like night and day...I NEVER would have thought such a difference could be seen. This is insane!
Ahh the things that can be done with ps2 engines....LOL
Good call my friend, good call!
When I first saw what this game purported to look like last april (2006) I thought no way...but it seriously looks like GeOW graphics in WW2...maybe even a bit better. Anyhow the team is very dedicated to creating a solid, immersing experience and I can't wait to try this one out!
Yeah, this one
I keep it on my desktop for EA comparisons along with the Madden pic they tried to pass off as real. Sony may have used renders, but at least they try to approach them.
BTW, I think there isn't a chance in HELL that the game will look this good anytime soon. I would love to be wrong, though..
Although, I haven't gotten to play it yet, I see what you mean, this clip doesn't quite show off the extreme frenzy that can be seen in other clips, but you do get to see the fluffy volumetric clouds at the end!
I think that is feesible and its exactly what the 1UP crew think. However, there has been no official (or unofficial) indication that single player will make it at all...we will see.
Game is slated for release in November, but in a recent interview, Randy Pitchford hinted that it may slip into '08. He said Gearbox wont ship a game they are not proud of...a good philosophy in my book!
Yeah, this game is very high on my list! I'm glad to see that it still looks great inspite the year long info blackout.
Thats the game these came from. I knew this wasn't The Wall, but couldn't remember the name of the game... This is The Wall I know..
http://ps3.ign.com/objects/... (note: first shot is of precursors, see how all the others look different?)
Did Playten just decide to combine these two games???? Or did PSU just mix up their screenshots???? because these screens are definately from "The Precurs...
