I do enjoy collection trophies and think they do enhance re playability. But I have found that I no longer play wii games as I dont get anything in reward. I also found that the free Ratchet&Clank I got would've been played more if it had trophies.
Exactly Pyramid Head should only be in SH 2. We need new fresh enemies. But they should be weird manifestations of the protagonists psyche.
If you look at it from this point of view: In an FPS most people I know, work their way upto a gun and stick with it. Cod for example, you use the same guns/perks each play through. Now imagine Cod was free (yeah right) and you just bought each guns for 0.99 you'd get the guns you needed, and the game for a lot less.
Im not 100% sure this is how these work though.
Yeah, IW should make the cod games, while Treyarch should make the zombie games.
I agree. The assassination parts are really a let down. Almost all the time, I end up killing the target then having to fight my way out. Surely it should be possible to get in and out unnoticed.
This is hopefully where Hitman will shine.
Well Said.
People are complaining that others will have an unfair advantage. Just pre-order then.
If not, surely you're going to receive an unfair advantage from all the people who are levels above you, who bought early.
DLC is not forced to you, if you dont like it dont buy it. I dont mind DLC, after a few months, it keeps the game fresh and provides longevity.
COD:BO allows 2 players on 1 machine to play online. So does Resistance 2.
& Pro-Evo / Fifa are better played with 6 people all together, drunk off their faces :)
Micro Machines 96 on Mega Drive used to have 8 players, and many others using multi-taps. PS1 & PS2 allowed double multi-taps to be used to allow 8 players. PS3 allows 7 on lots of sports games.
That what I think. This over MW3 anyday.
On the other hand I do agree with most of what he has said. I like having a shelf full of games. Or if I choose, the ability to sell/trade those games. I also rent a large number which wouldn't be possible with digital.
I hate motion controls and even on Wii use a GC controller where possible.
Although I do a lot of online gaming which he doesn't.
I think Homefront got it right. You can play online for free but only rank upto level 5. You can keep going but dont rank any further. Then the online pass is only £6. I rented the game and thought it was worth the extra few quid.
Once the download has started, you can switch off your PS3 and come back to it whenever you want. I have DLC I started for Pain but paused as I haven't been on it for ages.
Patches are different, they do have to be done in 1 go.
yup, there are going to be quite a few more people playing this soon.
God bless Blu-rays. I agree, a game cant be too big, so long as it's not just copy/paste everything.
Same here, Just when you think you're getting close to the end, a whole new branch of missions appear. I'm at about the 45 hour mark and still have ages to go.
Then just use a pre-pay PSN card. They're usually cheaper the their PSN value so you save money.
I for 1, have been lost in Fallout: New Vegas so haven't missed online.
This is starting to look like the best of both worlds. You can see how the 2D sections can easily be flipped to 3D for the new Sonic. Hopefully all levels are this way so you can choose which sonic to play as.
Sorry but you cant say Crash Team Racing when its basically a Mario Kart rip-off. If you were going to add any Kart game to a bucket list it'd be Mario Kart on SNES.
I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo showed new hardware this year - not to say it'll be out this year. MS & Sony wont show anything for a couple of years. Even when they do, Sony (at least) will continue to support PS3 for a few years. PS2 is still selling quite well in some territories.
If you gave me a free top of the range PC I would still prefer to play this on PS3. Why? Because I prefer using a controller. Because I enjoy playing with my friends. Because I like getting trophies. I like to keep all my gaming on 1 system.
I hate keyboard & mouse, perhaps if you could use a analogue stick in your right hand & a mouse, I might consider it. But I'd still buy the PS3 version.
