Mortal Kombat stuck to the lore of the games. The first was pretty decent.
Also, this story doesn't say they're changing anything. Its just says they're making it different from other similar movies. (Clash of the Titans films and Immortals).
I hope it doesn't. I still love both aspect of Treyarch's games and am gald they get bundled together. It just makes the package all the more worth the money.
I'm not saying that we want streaming to be the future. The only games I've downloaded have been from PS+. I still have all my old consoles and games.
But Sony bought Gaikai for a reason and they wont let that be wasted money.
I don't think it'll matter too much how powerful the PS4 is. I think it'll be powerful enough to last until Sony have Gaikai ready for the masses, then the power wont matter.
Once Gaikai is switched on, I'd imagine any Sony hardware (including PS2) with an internet connection (fast enough) can play all future games.
This is where the benefit of the Dual-Shock always being the same shape will come in.
Force Feedback and Rumble Tech are different technologies. Other than steering wheels, I'm not sure there are force feedback controllers on consoles.
I still use the Gamecube controller on wii when playing Mario Kart (I hate motion controls).
I think its safe to say all of those will be in next gen games.
As game prices go up, I think we'll see less people taking risks and more 'clone' games coming out. Until COD crashes, other companies will emulate it's features.
@CA: Good point. I never thought of that.
Should be good for when I'm on alone, but as you say, some of my friends hardly play and can end up a few prestiges behind.
I always get caught up in the hype around COD games. But at least this year it looks like Treyarch are at least mixing things up and trying new stuff:-
-The multi branching single player
-The new zombies mode
-League mode
-The new kill points system.
Really looking forward to it.
I agree that sounds like a good mode. Although the whole MP should really follow that method. Where you play against similarly ranked players.
I know a few people who casually play and would be glad for that mode. They only play frequently and can get 'bothered' when they come back and get stuck with people at Prestige 10.
From what I've read, there are 3 modes. This mode involves a very large map where you have to keep going as long as possible. The bus is used to move between areas faster, but you get stuck in the small space while moving. The bus can be taken at any time.
I cannot wait for this.
I was recently looking for a transparent red controller. I found that I had one for the PS2 (forgot about it) and it looks really good.
I seriously wish I hadn't bought MW3 as that game has been very poor in comparison to previous versions.
I'll be buying Blops 2 mainly for the zombies mode but at least it looks like Treyarch are implementing changes. Then I'll skip the following IW games.
Lets see if any major changes happen for next gen.
A 12gb PS3 with a £99 price would kill this xmas period.
Suppose we'll see what Sony do soon enough.
I imagine it'll stay £199 with some extra games or something.
The original had a great single player campaign and I picked up for £17.95 from Zavvi. Hopefully I can do the same with this.
Graphically it wets all over the Cod games.
Treyarch seem to have implemented some changes this year and I'll buy Cod for the zombies alone. Looks like its going to be another expensive winter.
Signed up.
Now lets play the waiting game.

Oh, the waiting game sucks, lets play hungry, hungry hippos.
Sypro is now Skylanders which I'm sure make quite a bit of money. Have you seen how much those things cost.
But I agree Spyro 1 was the best.
I don't agree that Crash was ever the most well known game character ever, as stated in the article. If anything he was forth after Mario, Sonic and Lara.
I think the problem with COD is that its exactly what it was. Its pretty much the same game. Hopefully Blops 2 will implemented some good changes.
£99 ps3, add in a 1TB HDD for £75 = Great Value

Sorry to post an unrelated reply but this story has got it completely wrong.
Apple have patented the tech to allow the iPhone/pad to be able to emulate other controllers:-

Fallout offers a neutral pathway, which is quite difficult to follow. Although its easy to switch from 1 spectrum to the other. Also, as OmniSlashPT said above, the actions dont really show around the whole game world. Infact in Fallout/Elderscrolls you can walk away from the area, come back in a week and they've all forgotten.
It's ok until people start rage quitting. Then you're left in a team of 2 or 3 against a full team of 6 with little chance of winning.
