There is potential for one game to last you the whole generation. Skyrim was massive and I still haven't finished it.
Games like Planetside 2 and Elder Scrolls online could potentially keep you entertained for years. And they way that other games constantly change will keep them fresh also.
It's just because its from the official playstation magazine. They cant really write about the xbox.
The majority of those games have some sort of PS3 release so not really missed.
The PS2 was a golden age though with a lot of variety coming from big developers. They all seem to scared to try new ip's these days.
Nintendo needed to release a massive game at launch a 3D Mario, Zelda or Metroid.
They have really squandered any lead they could have made.
I keep seeing that the price is now £199 for the premium but that just aren't any games worth buying it for.
I bought the N64 for Mario 64, Gamecube for RE4, the wii for Twilight Princess but there isn't anything (even announced) for Wii-U that I want. Was never bothered by Smash Bros.
I know what you mean. Road Rash wasn't 3D (The MD version), Porsche Challenge only had the Boxter and GT2 came out on PS1.
He also fails to mention anything about Mario Kart, Virtua Racing, or even Wipeout.
Why is it when Treyarch introduce something great into the series IW dont improve on it. We had zombies, interactive MP maps, dive to prone, branching story missions, Strike Force missions.
The best thing IW could do would be to release a HD version of COD 4.
It'd be easier if this was by generation, but the 90's had the 8bit, 16bit, 32bit and 64bit consoles, Dreamcast, and then PC.
So you've got Sonic, Street Fighter 2, Mario 64, Wipeout, FF7, Tekken, Zelda: A link to the past, Mario 3, Mario World, Zelda: OoT, plus loads of others.
I'm just about to cancel my LoveFilm account due to them dropping game rentals (I know this is about the streaming).
And I know a few others are doing the same. Well done Amazon.
The article isn't saying MS have caused these studios to close, its just taken from the official xbox magazine.

It's probably rubbish though.
There are a lot of people out there who only play COD, Fifa and I assume Madden in the US.
To those people its going to be hard to convince them to upgrade when the next games look very similar to the last.
I'll be switching to Blockbuster soon. So long Amazon.
Yup, best of the series so far. If only for the fact that it was probably the last time the series truly innovated and did something new.
Going from WW2 to Modern day changed the entire first person industry.
WAW/Blops1 were great games but didn't revolutionise as much.
I didn't find MW2/3 as good.
I, and a few others will be leaving soon. Blockbusters will be my next stop.
Although I'm not renting so many games at the mo, I do like to from time to time. Some games just aren't worth buying but are worth playing.
I really dont stream too much stuff so wont miss that.
The problem next gen is that there seems to be more games with a constant online world. As more come out, the market place will get over crowded, and they cant all be successful.
I cant believe Amazon are doing this. They're going to loose quite a few customers.

When I try to download the picture this is what I get.

How can anyone disagree with you. If they spent as much time developing the engine as they do adding un-needed features, we could have an amazing game.
Get the basics right first and then add the extras later.
When playing Dead Space Extraction with PS Move, I could see the ball reflected on my Plasma screen.
I sit about 2 meters away from the screen.
It wasn't that much of a distraction as I was more focused on the game.
And I think the move ball is larger than this light. But it does reflect.
A piece of electrical tape will soon sort that out.
What I want to know is, can I download while playing online. The PS3 stops downloading while you're online even on my fibre connection.
