I'd like the PS4 to do my job for me. That way I could sit at home and play actual PS4 games rather than PS3 games.
The PS3 will then go in the attic along side my other forgotten consoles. I'm sure there's even an Amstrad CPC 6128 up there.
Or it'll be used as a bluray player in the toilet or something.
Better variety of missions. The missions in FC3 are very repetitive.
Something more than infiltrate, kill, retrieve.
But I think this is becoming the norm for open world games. If you are going down that route, you need more options available to you.
If the PS4 gets announced on Feb 20th, that'd leave E3 for games. Sure the PS4 will still be in the limelight but there will be space at E3.
Also Sony tend to show their big guns before E3 which'd leave even more space for Vita.
Vita needs some more big games, Resi, Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter etc.

"Sources close to the hardware have revealed to us that PS4 will ship with a redesigned controller which is the same size as an existing DualShock but features a small touchpad in place of the existing Select, Start and PS buttons."
After re-reading it, I suppose it could look like that.
These are some of the worst 'impressions' we've yet had. The console looks almost wii like and the controller looks like a DS3. Sony have said the controller will be different this time (although I love the DS3).
From the video last week, it looks like the Circle button may be recoloured yellow.
2 more weeks and then (hopefully) we'll find out.
Would be great if they included the old school tank controls as well.
I'll take 2 of these:-

I agree with DA. I thought OoT and Twilight Princess were far better than Wind Waker. I hated all the sailing. It took ages to get anywhere and just seemed like and excuse to make the world bigger.
I'm not a fan of Cel Shading (I know there are some great games out there).
Once we're able to get games a large and diverse as Skyrim, with the character models from a Beat-em-up (or Heavy Rain), with vehicles from Gran Turismo/Forza, and the AI from Killzone, then we wont need better specs.
Indie developers will still be able to develop smaller games which get advertised on PSN/LIVE marketplaces.
Not played No 2 yet, but the first game was great. Clean up the graphics a bit (keep the style) and everything is fine.
I love Fallout and Skyrim, but am now finding Far Cry repetitive. In FO/S you have multiple ways to play the game, your character changes and different plays can be completely different. Far Cry not so much, your character alters slightly as you progress and each mission is the same (find camp, kill people, collect item).
Admittedly I haven't yet finished FC3 (will do as its an easy Plat) but so far its the same throughout.
It still amazes me how many parents are in line for COD on launch day with their kids. And the shops still sell them, knowing full well its for the kids.
I wouldn't be surprised if PS+ offers some sort of cloud games free next gen. Otherwise when PS4 launches, what games are free? It wont be backwards compatible so...
I've not finished the whole game so cant fully comment but so far the missions are repetitive. Scan base with binoculars, slowly eliminate all soldiers, then collect/switch whatever needs to be done. Hopefully things pick up later on. There's been no challenge so far. Oddly I found Dead Island more interesting.
Fallout is easily better with much more to do.
I love GOW but after playing the beta of Ascension's multiplayer it definitely feels tacked on. I playing it about 3 times and then moved on. Unless the actual game come with some interesting modes other than 'death match' and 'team deathmatch', I cant see myself playing the mp side.
It needs some interesting team based puzzle modes.

The author isn't saying the games are bad. He actually says they are good. They just aren't as good as the previous games.
RE4 is one of my favourite games but it really isn't a RE game.
But as game development goes up, we'll definitely see more sequels.
I think speech needs to be included in the next game. Maybe not Link or Zelda but the other npcs should speak. I got bored reading all the time in SS.
Or if they dont want to go down the speech route, have a narrator read it like a story.
Sony should have marketed the Xperia Play better. Then we might have seen a 2nd one. With today's tech they could easily squeeze the size down.
It was the PS4 build of the game. You see the guy with the Dual Shock 4 controller before and you see the playstation buttons on screen (X, O etc).
