Even if You don't want to play the game on PC, there are people who want to play the game on PC. If there was a PC exclusive game You want to play on console I would sign Your petition! Peace!
Though I am not willing to pay for online gaming, I think it's everybody's decision to spend money on whatever is desired. If you have the money, and you like to do crazy things: there you go! :)
I see no relation.
The question is allways the same: You want the best available, You have to upgrade. In my opinion this is needed for benchmarking purpose only. You want to play games and You're OK with toning down the gfx after some time, buy a good GPU and have fun for 2 to 3 years.
You want the comfort of a closed system and the exclusives, buy a console.
I don't know what I will be doing yet, but I was more than satisfied with a PC and a Playstation this gen.

The best thing about the PS4 is, that there will be a PS4 emulation for PC.
And on topic: The PS4 is not at all a high end PC. I have a decent PC with an i7 and only one GTX680 and not one single game on PS4 will look or perform better on the PS4 than on a good PC that is allready one year old.

The answer is simple: Don't buy the f****** games! There are many things you can do. Read a book, watch movies, go swimming, running. Do anything but don't buy the games. DRM, online connection for single player games only hurt us, not the pirates.
If we say NO! the publishers will have to answer. We pay them, we are their bosses!

@Cupid_Viper_3: The whole point of a console is that you pay much more money for the games and you are bound to a hardware that can't be upgraded and is not a bit, but much less powerful than a one year old PC when it is not even released!
On top of that you cant compare a console and a motor bike to a PC and a Ferrari! The motor bike is much lighter and and you will be wet when it rains! With your PC you can do anything plus you can game plus you can upgrade plus you save much mo...
Unfortunately not MGS 4 I fear. The PS3 is such a weird thing that I doubt there will be a emulation.

I have never understood the discussion. Used games bring money to the publishers too, because many gamers use the money they got from used games sales to buy new games. I would have bought less than half of my games if the games haven't had a resale value.
I say No! All we can see in these strategies is greed. If they weren't greedy they would have discounted downloadable versions with a rediculous cost for them compared to physical copies.
