Not one bit.
They are spending money for other reasons..
But since Microsoft is not even close to being the dominate platform any time soon...
You do not spend a lot of money to LIMIT your profits.
Ie no one is jumping ship to Microsoft except already existing Microsoft fans.
No matter what deal they make.
You go 10+ years not making any new AAA games and putting $59 price tags on indie games... you have what is called a lack o...
They would prefer to own their ip’s and sell them.
They are great creators, horrible at longevity.
The one lesson they learnt from Microsoft is... and I quote the great joker line.. “if you are good at something, never do it for free”.
They lost out on a phenomenal purchase scenario via the halo franchise. Ip that is while breaking free.
They know this.
I stand corrected..
My point still stands.
Every cent used gets put into a games budget.
A $500 million game budget has a lose blueprint per budgeting.. marketing/advertising, quality control, assistants etc..
Businesses just like to tout the big dollar signs to build up hype and to increase revenue per price adjustments.
This math has absolutely nothing to do with advertising.
Purely game focused.
The “big” numbers you hear for A game is with advertising etc included.
And yes, it adds to the cost that much.
Example, let’s say it is a big game/release and said company does a super bowl ad..
That is close to $100 million added to the budget of a game.
That is a severe example, but that is just ONE day and ONE commercial.
Hyping up over time, like ...
The shell is an isolated design..
Copying it.. no matter the intent, is against a license.
If you should ever actually do anything in life and actually come up with a intellectual property... you would actually have a clue.
Pay Sony their rights, or stop.
Period.
This fact protects ALL creators large or small.
If you do not believe in this.. you are... lacking
It took a monthly subscription for you try games?
The game you chose to describe is bad as well since it had free demo... so a lot of players got to try it. With no subscription.
Most games a game pass would be better supported with free demos and to capitalize with better financial support for said developers.
Ehhhh
As prices go up, critiquing should become harsher... especially from a company that skated through an entire generation making more consoles than actual solid games.
This is an overpriced average indie game to add to the calling card of “glad it is on game pass” because somehow, Microsoft’s core base thinks a monthly payment gives you something free. 🤷🏻♀️
This game is most likely a 7 out of 10 at best... but being it is from Microsoft, I cou...
“Lot of sequels and remasters”...
I do not think you know anything about the ps4.
With AAA games, Sony exclusive...
You had a re-envisioned god of war.. still a sequel though
Gran truisms sport. All competitive online. “Sequel”
Last of us 2
And
Uncharted..
what other sequels are you talking about?
Remasters? With less than a AAA price? Who cares?
with AAA games, Sony was just about t...
Nothing they have done has reached said level... 🤦🤔 you good, I am very sure, but not even close per history
All reviews are.
You have the supporting good effort reviews, then you have the real reviews, then the opinion reviews.
We all remember cyberpunks first reviews... all fluff until weeks after when everything came to light via real players.
I mean you can literally copy and paste your comment in EVERY review for the last year.
Or the whole was publicity stunt to say such things... 🤷🏻♀️
Smells like one. 😂😂
There is absolutely no way Microsoft, while already trying hard to climb their way up, said let’s charge more.
And then came in with the right fixes that were needed last gen like the free to play games.
They do not lead the market.
But, who knows.
A 10 year history of not making any new AAA games?
Budgets that are based on marketing and the subscription service over any advancements or true muscle behind said games?
Examples: crackdown 3 was a $60 release game that was worse than most free to play games.
Sea of thieves. Once again, a $60 launch game that is just like any other free to play game.
State of decay 2.
Gears of war was gears of war. No new tech or engine advancements. Sub par stor...
@light
There is no tinfoil hat.
There is the reality.
Ie the console is upgrading games and patches can/could come..
But making an article about this scenario is idiotic.
Boosts are nice..
But the PlayStation brand is about the future.
Pc and Microsoft are stale as can be per new games,
They also focus on just making old games or stale AAA games look better to sell hardware... to sugar coat the lack of output.
So...
This type of article only exists because it is the only thing the competition offers.
Pc or Xbox.
If either would ever actually put effort into something new, then we could have a real competition.
The clickbait “upgrade the past” is for morons while the mass majority of consumers look for something new,
That is why every streamer is having a midlife crisis right now... because games are stale and the viewerships are dying.
You have Sony exclusives...
Please tell me how 120fps vs 30fps on a p2p network mathematically makes it a “not really a big deal”?
Because there is not one iota of facts behind that statement that can be presented.
YOU may not care and or find it to be a big deal... but that is just an opinion solely from you.
I think the point stems from more than just the purchase.
It is the entire existence of Xbox.
The 360 was successful mainly for having third party games purchased and kept exclusive via a contract.
As those contracts expired, the games did move to multi platform or, like gears, purchased to keep the ip.
“Transparency”
Like someone else stated... they can act like the deal is done. Articles written saying so.... but it is not.
I get that t...
Microsoft can.
They do the math from the years of collected connected data.
The shills may try to hide it...
But coming from a company that has not made a new AAA game for over a decade... they know exactly the profit level of their consumers.
Could... but both games started production very soon after release.
The game engines were also brand new and so it really just comes down to the story and then drawing out the games design.
Both were also written with the intent of continuing the stories.. so they could very well be ready this year.
Microsoft has been and always will he about selling you an idea over any actual reality.
Marketing is their thing.. that and have a huge investment in media outlets.
