Just because YOU may have never said..
“because it’s free on game pass”
^ I have seen this so many times it is beyond comical.
The above was just a few days ago and it is in every gamepass comment section.
Try reading everyone’s comments instead ones you want to argue with.
It says free to play... that has no Microsoft written on it 😂😂
Although the gamepass fans keep thinking the subscription gives free games 🤷🏻♀️
If Microsoft has not made any new game that actually made their install base drop 50%...
What future does a subscription service have?
The ONLY thing Xbox fans have is hope.
Playing a group of indies and mediocre third party games for $180 a year from a company who has not made a new AAA title in ten years and counting is a joke.
Making it seem popular does not mean it is popular, it mean the base is easily manipulated through marketing tactics.
They are everything from last gen.
Last gen was mostly about the previous gen outside of third party games.
I do not get your sales pitch there.
Are you telling people that the 360 era was so good that it put Microsoft in last place last gen due to running with those old titles?
If it made them lose 50% of their market shares world wide..why buy their new console and subscribe into said company that has done nothing to keep their software fresh an...
A subscription is not free.
@dj
No.. I am not pleasantly surprised.
I built my pc..
I looked for games that could make me say wow as I came from console.
Since I have Live, I checked out the gamepass offerings.
Not one thing stood out as worth while.
Not only that, I laughed at the fact that it had titles repeated in their list due to the original/deluxe versions.
It even had a free to play game listed.
So..
I get it.
X...
@darth
Free demos does more for games over a subscription service.
Period.
As far as subscribing to a service for games, I do not do... but if I did, I would invest in a company for future past games games because they make amazing games vs a company that does not make great games and leans on marketing hype of mediocre games to fluff the offerings from third party developers for an unknown timeframe.
Find “value” where you want...
This excuse for a subscription service absolutely blows my mind.
When the best selling pitch is to try out game that may be and or are mediocre.
As if said library warrants a subscription over free demos.
Sure.. there might be a slight few games worth playing...
But the majority of “sales pitch” comments in here back the “good thing it is on gamepass so I did not have to buy the mediocre game”.
Would need a lot of work via the 720p interlacing and motion blur for the 30fprs.
It would look far superior if they updated it for sure.
The only other competitor in said console strength has gone over ten years making any solid or new AAA game..
That is a decade..
And you are concerned with the first months of the ps5 for the Microsoft paid for reverse compatibility “issue” since not only Microsoft went over a decade with said games, but they STILL have nothing coming anytime soon.
This is a stupid argument being that everyone in the industry has dealt with these issues.
Let’s stop using the word “all” because it is not all...
And let’s also not act like Microsoft has not pulled funding or deprecated developing of games or hardware.
Sales dictates success...
Sales are moved by software.
This mountain out of mole hill is not new in trying to slander companies and this just another of many “bad” scenarios painting a negative picture.
You want reality, let’s go through all of gaming.
There...
They are also more worried about the 360 days and subscriptions...
So... 🤷🏻♀️😂
@christopher
They are cheap.
Not cheap to buy, it the products are made with bargain bin materials to save costs.
As far as your “Microsoft spends less advertising games than major third-party publishers”
That is because they have not made AAA blockbuster games to advertise!!!
How can they spend that money?!
Oh, buying third party deals or companies and advertising game pass + any and all third deals for games. Once again, dict...
@thedibbler
The question is not brand loyalty..
It is “what is the reality of Microsoft?”
They are a marketing advertising company that prints money due to owning the pc software world.
They make cheap products, they buy up anything remotely close to their area and they strong arm the competition with dirty tactics due to their deep connection with the media.
PLEASE tell me how any subscription service or reverse compa...
The competition has nothing new.
The competition has had nothing new since releasing the Xbox one. You know, the console that did not launch with backwards compatibility.
The current library of all Xbox games is still not supported via backward compatibility.
Microsoft controls what is reverse compatibility.
Microsoft also has more investments in media/“marketing” articles to sway opinions.
Since Microsoft found themselves sinking and had absolutel...
I do not understand your point?
You bought a ps3 to buy the games?
But did not because you waited for the PS4?
I’m not following your point.
Anywho, to the disagrees, market positioning tells you what you need to know.
Who made new games and who did not?
Through their collected data over the years, their consumers are more interested in new games... not the past.
Saying that... Sony has their entire history of gaming. It is theirs.
They could possibly unleash it in a way...
But Sony is Sony because the keep innovating into the future.
While Microsoft has nothing and keeps pushing this back catalog thing as if it is something new.
Every console has had reverse compatibi...
Gamepass is the furthest from “game saving”.
A monthly fee to play games that are also diving into micro transactions, season passes, and or dlc that are not included is disguise more than a deal.
Nintendo hates discounts and Sony invests a lot of money time in their games unlike Microsoft.
There is budget developing to hit projected costs to make gamepass profitable.
Period.
There is no “deal”, just the appearance of one.
How do you judge if people are sleeping on it?
Per n4g?
I can guarantee you a majority of consumers do bot care who makes the game...
They buy off of hype.
Hype is through advertising.
The “noise” is artificial.
Unless you have another means to judge this sleeping aspect.
“Sony’s getting a lot of heat”..
From whom?
Also, want to know a little strange fact?
Every year about this time, there is always some sort “drama” created around Sony in gaming media.
It happens twice a year... April - May and September - October.
I wonder why 🤔
Such odd pattern for n4g
