Going to quote Phil on the power of the cloud as well?
It is all pr from Microsoft until the cycles are over.
Unfortunately, until the actually reveal the console, we have to sit through the endless articles from media shills trying to remind everyone that Xbox is releasing a new a new console next year to try to stifle the pro.
The Scorpio will need exclusives.
They do not have a huge attachment to the consumer base or, not enough to entice the larger ma...
Because Microsoft spends millions of dollars with marketing and advertising partners and for some reason the npd likes to count their shipments.
This and the pro, of which will take over.
Yeah, because PC exclusives have been making a lot of noise lately :/
Sony will be a mix of resolutions but what they are invisioning is an affordable step up that will help enhance 4K tvs for the small market of 4K consumers.
The people that helped usher in 4K are not trying to redefine the term. That is childish to say.
Microsoft is just convinced that the huge market swing was for power this gen and they are putting all their chips on said scenario with Scorpio and hoping to bring back the consumers that either jumped ship or did not upgrad...
@game4funz
the install base as in a the people are fine, the very small install base as consumers and their preference has continually spoken with their wallets this gen on the Xbox one and they are not buying games like this. It is not debatable. It is a proven fact.
It is the install base. It just is not that big.
This is why they moved their games to PC as well.
No, lack of interest.
Tons of games with known issues still sold well the first week of release.
This is normal sales for said style game on said hardware. Not a knock, just a fact.
@ShowanW
I did see. I disagree.
A third party game that would make MORE money releasing on ALL platforms has nothing to do with Microsoft giving them money to keep it off of another console.
Your logic mathematically makes no sense.
Risk losing money and fanbase to sign an exclusive contract, like Microsoft have done or attempted with many other games, to have have less money, over all, to make a continuing franchise?
I could get it on a one off wi...
All of what you said is fancy or spin for the fact Microsofts only true ability is to monopolize.
Games got made way before microsofts wallet and they will be made way after...
Just because they fork over cash before release, does not mean they are "funding". It means they are shopping for games to make exclusive to try and entice consumers.
All of which is fine, but if they are trying to be a gaming business, maybe they should invest into, oh, I do not kn...
The game will sell, but if you do not think it will take a hit, you would be way off. The game has released and there is hardly any noise about it.
It is not about selling, it is the fact they killed the hype for it.
What gets them into the situation of fanning the flames is their long history of overhype and their use of marketing.
Sales matter for 360 and their media shills sang it from the roof tops last gen... this gen, sales do not matter... until they win a month and here come all the media partners praising it again.
Last gen comparisons mattered and Microsoft used said scenario in their advertising... this gen it does not matter and looked at as a negative.
All the way t...
? Consoles do not come with tvs so why would you try to put that in a price?
Keyboard, yes.
Mouse, yes.
Cables, yes etc
Do not get me wrong, anyone trying to piece together a cheap $800 PC will end up spending more in a year, but how is leaving out a monitor an issue?
Are those 4K discs games or are you just looking for a movie player?
I like the approach because due to the tanking of bluray movie sales in general, it will most likely never happen. People are just streaming now.
For those that want the physical base products, options exist, but according to sales, that market is shrinking fast.
@PinkCrocodile75
You are correct, but it is most what makes Microsoft exclusive. Gears of war, mass effect, call of duty of last gen, dead rising, sunset overdrive etc...
I am not saying the deals should not be made, I am saying a company should try a little harder and make their own new AAA games to show that they are trying to be a gaming company instead of buying them or keeping them exclusive for a period of time.
If you remove microsofts third party deals thi...
@XXanderXX
Not exactly...
It was revealed that Microsoft is to get first approach with any exclusive deals.
Microsoft wanted the game either exclusive or exclusive for a year... everyone laughed.
They offered Sony a deal.
Microsoft screwed over the fans not bungie
They are mad because they do not support said monopoly tactics from a business that is pretending to be a gaming business.
Because said tactics will lead to and push other companies to fight fire with fire, and of course, snowball into much worse.
The author needs to study business.
Microsoft is and has been a reactionary business since they wanted more than just a operating system.
Their heavy push in marketing and advertising has them scrambling to try figure out how to capture people to buy their products and become the leader in marketing and advertising outlets.
Examples, their phone division was about ten years too late and failed. Their tablet business was about 4 years behind the curve and does not sh...
It will sell separately, just at a later date.
Activi$ion just wants what ever boost they can get for the month. They have already said that the people who buy the package will get the 6 other original maps free in December which means the stand alone will be extra for the dlc
Do you usually use variances of a word that offends millions of people with disabilities or only when you run out of things to say due to your low iq and social awkwardness towards others?
