Square Enix right now is the best it has been in years, not since the ps2 generation have I looked forwards as many games by Square than now, I'm guessing a lot of it is a mix of really listening to consumers (sales), critics (reviews) and Yoichi Wada stepping down.
Actually They don't listen to neither, they do their own thing for good or bad (in my opinion lately mostly bad).
There always need to be a balance between what people want, where the industry is heading and what you want to do with your console or services, let's see if they actually listen with the NX.
If a game can only be played on 10/15 year old discontinued hardware, I say you can remaster/rerelease it.
I don't mind this remaster, I think the only bad thing I remember from this game is a stupid main charácter (vaan), but in everything else it was 10 years ahead of its time.
7's and 8's all around is more than semi good scores for this kind of genre, specially without not much of a push by Atlus, I'm actually surprised by how liked it is, definitely buying this.
I want it to be a Ps4 game, one of the better Ps2 games and Rpg's was Dragon Quest VIII, would love to see a game with that cel shaded style with this new generation power.
Please don't be a Handheld game, please don't, it could be so much on the new generation.
This is what it's all about, different experiences for different kind of players, all the time. Still haven't had the chance to buy it, but it's definitely on my list.
P.s: I think the headline should have the TWICE in there, is just not the same to say they recouped the cost in its first week, although technically correct, than saying it recouped it twice.

There was some kind of dreamcatcher like symbols on top of the cage, the bird dog was visibly scared of said symbols in the trailer, that's why you had to push it off.
I understand if someone who has never played a Team ICO game look and this very short gameplay trailer and think what the fuss is all about, expecting something very different, associating a name like The Last Guardian to...

You're looking at it wrong, if your console of choice does moderately well to good in every region where it's released it will only help every gamer in every region, because if your xbox one would be selling well in Japan Square Enix maybe would've announced Nier 2, World Of FF, STAR OCEAN: INTEGRITY AND FAITHLESSNESS and PROJECT SETSUNA for the Xbox One too, just to name one developer, games that are coming not only to Japan but to the U.S too.

Is the contrary, if your console of choice does well in other countries, because of that success many more games will be made for it, and more games will be released in YOUR country, you know, the U.S of A.
Square Enix is BACK!!! look at that list 6 of those games are from them, and they didn't even show FFXV, and the best part is that they look like honest to God JRPG'S, they're not trying to please everyone with every game.
Thank God for Yoichi Wada stepping down 2 years ago, the last generation were definitely dark times for Square Enix.
