We don't know if it's a pirate game yet. It's all been rumors. They're announcing it Monday. That screen shot certainly didn't look like a pirate.
She's actually not that good a character. Zero characterization happened in that game, and her "origin" was extremely rushed and you have no idea why she became an assassin. It's a great game overall, but that doesn't make her a good character. And to be honest, her being a woman who wasn't super duper sexualized was more refreshing than a her being black.
Also, it irks me that people think she's the only diverse character in the franchise, when...

Yeah, it's my favorite franchise but the story is pretty much a giant cluster f*** at this point and I don't want a pirate theme. I've liked all the settings so far, but they've pretty much always had a good reason behind being an assassin and why you're assassinating people. This I don't see making sense. Assassin's don't kill innocents and don't compromise the order, I feel like being a pirate would achieve the opposite of that.
Agreed on the changes. The combat system and climbing trees were awesome changes/additions. I liked Connor, but his story was kind of dull. It seemed to focus more on the world he was in than Connor himself. I'm disappointed they're not gonna do a follow up game, it would've been cool to see more of him. That's what made Ezio so great, he was expanded on a lot. Aveline was cool but the story was kind of a mess. She barely had any build up, whereas Connor had too much build up....

True. It's just odd to me, because the screenshot of the character doesn't look pirate-y to me. And he looks nothing like the person in the promo poster. So one has to be fake.
Samurai wore flags called sashimono on their backs so they could be identified. The title could easily be a way of saying that it's a samurai without a cause. Ronin type stuff.

Yeah, it's more of a rumor, but Ubisoft Sophia's involvement is what makes me think it'd be an AC game.

I'd be wary of that though. We're supposed to be able to do that already with our PS3s, but they've only managed it for like 20 games.
They want you to buy Peace Walker separately. Hopefully there's an HD remake for Vita one day.
And the collection is great on Vita, you should definitely consider it.

That might actually be better. You build the system from the ground up for the console, not the other way around. Either way, it seems that both companies will have cloud gaming next gen.
