I don't think that game is on the top 100 PS4 games list according to play time.
MS's BC team is the best in the industry plus they are a software company. Is it just me or did Cerny actually say that the AMD is handling BC? WTH?
But at the launch of the next gen....the XSX will have ALL XB1 games BC as well as the current X360 and OG Xbox games. The PS5 by having only a handful of PS4 games BC at launch is not acceptable IMO.

Common sense is to not look at an estimated third party report and claimed it as Sony's own report. Even Neogaf have to close the thread because of these unreliable third party estimate. But hey, 🤷♂️

So where does it say they got that "8 million" GT sport numbers directly from Sony? With so many sources, and the inclusion of VGChartz on the footnote, they are probably just using most likely the GT Sport report that I'd previously told you about in Summer 2019

Again, this is a third party report anyway you look at it. They have sources listed with Bloomberg, Tom's guide, VGchartz, Third Point own estimate as well as Sony's own website. You get the point as this whole presentation is not all from Sony. VGchartz, really?

you do know this report has information not all from Sony right? If you look at the section where the Playstation games are, they listed "VGchartz" as the source for their top 15 PS4 unit sold games of time on a chart. And is VGchartz a valid Sony source for Sony investors?

And how did you came up with the conclusion when the story here clearly stats "Users" as 8.2 million. I mean, I rented the game once and my friend and I both logged in and played for like an hour. So is that unit sold? You guys keep bashing other console manufacturers with only disclosing users and hours played and not how many unit sold. Isn't this the same thing?
Wickedlester, please provide a valid credible link in which Sony said they had sold over 8 million for GT Sport as I cannot find it; otherwise, you are just making numbers up.

I created 2 accounts (one for me and another for my friend) for GT Sport myself when I rented the game and played about 40 minutes of it.
How can GT sport had sold 8.2 million when they are only counting "users" as 8.2 million? a demo, rental, a single copy with multiple users can all be from the combined 8.2 million user count. At least be realistic here.
It is users and not how many copies were sold. But still impressive.
If we are going with #3, like the majority of the voters here, then why are we still seeing these VGchartz rumor, fake number articles popping up on a weekly basis? Can we get rid of that site as well if we are going to block rumors from big outlets like DF and IGN? We don't want to create a double standard here. Just my 2 cent.
