Has debating console sales figures based on unreliable scraps of information become an obsessive replacement for actually playing video games?
I'm about to reach level 30 in Destiny: I own both systems. Nothing to squabble about. I enjoy the best that any system offers.
Couldn't less about how many PS4s were sold in Portugal last month or how many XBox Ones were sold in Anarctica; don't want to live my life with a limited either/or range of interes...

It's irresponsible to headline this article "Mass Effect 4 release date and other rumors" when the article has nothing to say about the release date.

It may be a useful article -- but pop-ups tend to suggest that a site cannot be trusted.

Given the recent sales figures posted:
PS4 is "exploding" only in Japan.
North Americans appeared to buy more XBox Ones.
Europeans bought more PS4s.
What matters most (and even then does not matter much) is what happens in one's own country.

Couldn't see any reference in the story as to whether the figures included digital downloads.
Speaking as someone who is about to buy the digital form of Halo Masterchief Collection (because it may be easier to install today in advance of tomorrow's release, along with the 20G multiplayer add-on) I am interested in if, how and when digital downloads are factored into sales figures.

Personally, I find the LAG issue to be severe.
Played twice last night for roughly 40 minutes each time, and the lag problems were ridiculous.
Seems the reason that the game picked up so many inflated reviews is that nobody had discovered the game lacks dedicated servers and -- so far, to me -- its multiplayer mode is a disaster.

If there's a "problem" with Destiny's review scores it is more likely to be due to the mediocrity of reviews.
I won't claim to love Destiny but I certainly find it interesting and challenging.

Wolfenstein: The New Order may aim lower than Watch Dogs -- but it hits more of its targets.
Some of the characters (such as Obersturmbannfuhrer Engel) are simultaneously hilarious, grotesque and evil. Not easily forgotten.

I'll keep an open mind -- but I understand there's no jets or tanks (does that also mean no helicopters?). Maybe the game has been changed so much there is no need for "Battlefield" tools?

The recent DDoS attacks were against console networks and ALL games requiring an Internet connection were affected.
I view Destiny as a pure shooter and don't understand why some people keep complaining about its thin "story". Maybe excelling in the Vault of Glass and other stiff competitions doesn't interest them.
