You're just assuming though. You don't know if they are done with that universe or what this actual game will bring forth to the table. For all we know, the REAL Dante will actually make an appearance or by the time the game is done it will have referenced a lot of the older games and he'll look even more like old Dante. People are always so quick to judge before they can actually get their hands on it, and then they start assuming the worse when they aren't even sure if that&...
It really does look good but nothing will ever satisfy the fans of this series any longer. Just because Dante essentially got his hair dyed and got a hair cut makes all the difference in the world. It sounds exactly the same as the original, his face looks like Dante from DMC3, it's the same guy from an alternate universe. Shame some people will overlook this game on such petty things.
I know I'll get bombarded with "Oh but there's so much more" and they...
I can guarantee you that IO Interactive knows what the fans want to see and they will deliver. Thing is though, they are trying to entice newcomers to the game as well. In order to do that they have to build in certain mechanics to make the game feel more accessible and fun for newer fans. That doesn't mean that it will be less fun for us older fans, it just means that the game is even more well rounded than it was before in the past.
As far as making choices and open wo...
Uh what bro? What you described there is exactly how this game functions, literally. What is it that you have read about this game that has made you think otherwise?
That's weird that you think that considering they literally used his face for the modelling of the character.
Anyway though, I'll have to disagree about using him in the film, even though he may know the part and you could use well known actors around him, that's not always bound to make for a successful film. Look at that movie Haywire with no-name Gina Carano. Star-studded cast surrounding her and it still didn't do all that great in the box office.

Tom Cruise is a little too old for it lol. But I do agree that it either needs an A-list actor or someone that is young and good looking enough to carry the franchise. I was watching the new Fox show The Finder and I think the main character from that show, Geoff Stults, would be perfect as Nathan Drake. He has a similar build, a similar facial structure, similar personality, and similar sense of humor.
That'd be great if Nolan North wasn't so old looking and could actually do the stunts. He's not terribly old looking but he looks much older than Drake though, perhaps he could play Nathan's dad or something if they still want to have that character in the film?
Uh they can't. WWE wants it that way and so they have to. No way around it.
This is more than just "some of its' code" this is the game in its' entirety. Squarenix didn't change a single thing but the title of the game and probably are paying for all the tweaking and testing of the game. The game was virtually finished by the time Activision canceled it last year, they were literally only cleaning it up and readying it for release in November of 2011 I believe it was.
They can't keep everything while adding more. It's impossible to keep up with that way. Limitations on the Xbox 360/PS3's memory comes into play as well here. The "predator" technology is truly the best thing to ever hit the WWE games ever. It's truly taken the gameplay and made it feel fresh again over the last few years dating back from 2007. SVR2006 feels NOTHING like WWE'12, you'd only be a fool to think that it does.
It's a glitchfe...
It's not there because it's hard to put in with the right mechanics that's why. Special Referee isn't in because they want to mimic what you can do on WWE TV and they don't have a lot of those match types in any longer and they did surveys before and people said that wasn't a match they particularly cared for so they scrapped it.
I had an idea for how to do an I Quit match though. It's quite simple to be honest, I would make it to where all you ha...
Haha, I agree with you Cyguration. Are you on PS3 bro? I, too, can't wait to see what happens for WWE'13 and beyond. Universe mode is one of the best things to ever be put in the game. Of course it can use some work, but it's a continuing work in progress and a major step up from the past iteration in many ways. I'm glad I finally have a person that knows what they are talking about on here, usually it's just someone that either doesn't know what they are talking about...
Captain Qwark9, I can say that it is 100% truth that AKI needed major help with the development of both Def Jam games they worked on. They are now doing PSP/DS games only, that's how far away from wrestling they have gone. Most of the things you are talking about isn't up to Yukes, THQ and higher ups, not the THQ developers, are responsible for what goes in the game or what is taken out. Most of those things they cannot help and they try new things all the time and sometimes, those ne...
I said this in the other comment to you and I'll say it again. You must be playing an entirely different game if you think it even compares to SVR2008 in the slightest as far as gameplay is concerned. There's NOTHING the same as 2008 as far as gameplay in WWE'12 dude, nothing. I don't know how you came to that conclusion but I literally played SVR2008 on Friday and it SUCKED compared to WWE'12. SVR08 was one of the weakest entries as it is, and it hasn't aged well at a...
DeadlyFire, Gameplay isn't the same as 2008, hell no. I played that game recently and I literally couldn't stomach how atrocious it was compared to now. The animations aren't just cleaned up a bit, they are totally new and fluid animations as far as how they are rendered on the screen compared to ANY WWE game before it. You have to be delusional if you can't feel the difference.
AI doesn't reverse everything you throw at it either. I don't know what ga...
AKI hasn't been a competent wrestling developer for over 10 years. They couldn't even develop a PS2/Xbox game by themselves, Def Jam Vendetta/Fight For NY. They had to have help from almost every major EA developer as they were too used to developing for Nintendo 64 only. That's why EA and AKI fell out and they never went back to them since.
There's NOTHING that says that AKI would do a better job even if they were given 5 years, they just don't get the te...
Gameplay did get an overhaul with the predator technology. You are probably just not timing the reversals right because I always have fun online and it's not laggy with the reversals at all, or hardly ever anyway. Don't follow what the game tells you to reverse, you have to actually look at the move and time it correctly with just ONE hit of the reversal button, that's all it takes, no more button mashing.
I know ONE good reason why he's not in WWE'12. WWE DOES NOT WANT HIM IN! If WWE doesn't want him in, he's not going in. I don't get why people cannot understand that it's not THQ's fault that certain people don't make it into the game. If it were up to THQ they would have everyone that we want in the game, but it's not up to them, it's up to WWE to finalize the roster and they approve of who THQ has from a list and whoever doesn't make the cut doesn...
ALRIGHHHHTTTTTT!!!! BAYBAY COME ONNNN!!!!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!
I know it's multiplatform now, but Lara Croft from Tomb Raider started out as a Playstation brand and we all know that Playstation is the one that put her on the map. It's only right to consider having her in the game as an unlockable if Square Enix would be ok with it, right?
