New Vegas had more nods to Fallout than 3 had, so that's probably why people liked it more as well.
The fact that she did says a lot about the sorry state of awards.
Exactly, the reason for the departure from quality in LoS 2, is simply because of the state of the studio making it. Cox was just the middle man trying to market the game as well as possible.
I personally played WoW for 6 years from Vanilla, and i do weep for the changes that Blizzard has made. I was thinking about going back, so i could fill a void until other games currently.
Just a small amount of research told me, that i wouldn't enjoy the game anymore. The Enhancement Shaman was a favourite of mine, but now i'm not even sure the developer plays the class themselves.
It's such a sad state of things.
I've yet to see the untapped potential, because generally speaking, casual players just follows the leader, then complains if the journey is too taxing.
A perfect example would be making them play DMC 3 or 4 compared to DmC, one game is not like the other games. It's unfortunate that the industry thrives on making games less challenging, but it's the reality because of the majority.
Please, don't chase the casual carrot, because they'll d...
We don't need to confront anything, because the 'issue' is way overblown. It's simply because they have nothing else to attack. Gaming doesn't need to bend over, just because someone has a virtual problem.
You have a problem with rights in the real world? That's fine, but don't pin that crap on a industry that creates fictual entertainment.
And please, grow a thicker skin like the rest of us. Don't take what people say seriousl...
Seriously..people are incredibly thin skinned online today.
Even if it's their money, it still affects you. MT's in retail games shouldn't be fine to do.
Well, i would say it not only applies to a good old challenge, but also their attitude towards the industry as well. They hardly care about the direction it's heading.
I think it'll take more than a few years, before more games will stop treating people like children. That's another reason for why i like some developers more.
The ME3 Microtransactions was not far off from gambling, simply because you had no idea what you were buying. It could be anything between a consumable to weapon upgrades worth using for a class.
Fifa is probably their worst example.
It's fairly obvious when MP is tacked onto games, so it's not so hard to pick games to wait for a deal on. Notice how much fluff they've added in Assassin's Creed, in order to extend their games.
Brotherhood and beyond was noticeably shorter, also due to the addition of MP content.
You wanna know how people knew, that ME3 was going to have a MP mode? It was because a demo crashed and was rebooted, then you could see the file names being loaded. Obviously forums tried to cover it up as nonsense, but it turned out to be true.
This was just a matter of time, because EA doesn't release games without MP anymore.
I doubt Witcher 3 will run up in the 40 millions, but more like 30 as the most. We won't know unless they go public about it, just like they did with Witcher 2.
Anyways, they seem to know how to manage their money. These larger companies like Unisoft, EA, Capcom and more will try to catch everyone in a single net. They do all kinds of 'market research', but then they forget to create a game that catches people's interest.
Nowadays, when people...
A lot of ideas may sound great, but when executed it's terrible inside the game. Those terrible ideas can instantly turn off players, if they see it in action before release.
I don't have a list in my head, but i've been guilty of that myself.
The reports about Google was legit, but i'm sure it was seen as a anti-competitive move, and Amazon was more appealing to them.
Letho from Witcher 2 may seem like a weak character, but he's actually pretty interesting when you look into it. It's probably one of the most well made characters.
Pretty much this. If gameplay is being benched because of a 'cinematic experience', then i may just as well watch it instead of playing it myself.
The thing is though, people will just come up with excuses like you not having to buy it. What that means, is that apologists will happily support a exploiting industry.
I've saved my money on many games in the recent years, simply because i saw through the BS that PR was spinning.
Then the DMC game would just be exclusive, so i'd rather see it landing somewhere else. Stay 3rd party, then we could see what would happen.
No thanks. :)
