Scalability and backwards compatibility are not the same thing. Please stop.
Tell me what companies are updating 7+ year old games for free?
You comparing it to PC is pretty stupid. PC games are built for scalability. Console games are not. They are optimized to very specific things.
I swear to god all you babies do is whine. If you don't think it is worth $10... then don't buy it. If you think they did nothing, keep playing last gen version. No harm to you.
No, this shouldn't be free. Name all the companies doing free updates for 7 year old games (7 years since last gen release). You all think these companies are charities for poor gamers. They're not.
Microsoft rewards takes time and effort. It's like a low paying job. It isn't free.
Spending hours of your time to earn $15 in rewards isn't free.
Why does N4G allow these advertisements?
This is based on metacritic? Pretty stupid.
Self righteous gamer here. How dare someone not play a game like them. If you had magic power you would strike down easy mode with the snap of your fingers.
Who cares about young kids that need it easy. Who cares about parents who maybe only have 30 minutes a day to play games. Who cares about gamers who don't have a lot of skill. What right do they have to play video games.
Everyone and their mother already bought the game. They didn't put all the effort into updating it for a third generation just to give it away for free.
Free advertising by Abriael once again. How much you getting paid just to do that?
"For the sake of full disclosure, do keep in mind that the author of this article has been a Star Citizen backer since the original Kickstarter campaign several years ago."
Several? Hahahhaha. Almost at a decade now. Kickstarter began in October 2012. With a target release date of November 2014.
Pathetic.
For full disclosu...
I played D1 and the first two expansions. Then stopped. Didn't get D2.
But then it became free, so I gave it a try. Ya, I was indeed like completely overwhelmed. Don't think I have it more than 2 days before I gave up on it.
Mine still shown with the little quest icon on them, which is unnecessary. They also still show up on the PS homescreen tracking as if you aren't done with them which is annoying.
I'd give it a 9.5. There are some technical issues with the game taking away that half point. Climbing glitches, getting stuck in places, some times where the FPS drops to like 5 and I have to restart the game. The races were the most annoying part of the game. Your mount could hit a rock in the road and come to a complete stop. I wanted to throw my controller through the TV.
My son flew through the main story with minimal deviations and then started on side quests. I'm about halfway through story cause I'm doing all the extra stuff I find along the way.
EA hasn't shown innovation in any of their sports franchises in many years, so I find it hard to believe FIFA people are holding back game innovation.
To all you journalists who talk to Phil all the time, you all need to ask him by GWG has gone down the shitter.
This game seemed cool at first, but then I kind of grew tired of it real fast and never came back to it.
To everyone replying talking about Starfield... what? Did I miss some videos or something? Talking GOTY based on nothing.
More amazing journalism from the Star Citizen shill.
For $10 I bought it in case I ever wanted to revisit. After I finished with Forbidden West, I started on Cyberpunk for the first time with the PS5 upgrade. I just couldn't get into it. Thought I'd give GTA a try and I've been playing it for a few days now. No, it isn't some redefined experience, but it is better. It holds up extremely well and proves how ahead of its time the game was when it originally came out.
