I see your point. But I offer you a counter argument: How do you explain the months leading up to the launches with all of the preorder numbers and multiple website polls of popularity/interest? The writing was on the wall what was going to happen on February 20; then further hammered home and solidified at E3. Microsoft lost LOTS of gamers with their initial plans. They lost my support last gen after 6 consoles. (I broke 1 in frustration).

Well, there U.S. Headquarters was already in the San Francisco Bay Area (Foster City, California.) I used to work there in the FPQA Department. (First Party Quality Assurance). Because of another career choice, I opted to move on. Things have certainly changed with in the company for the better. I'm sure the facility on E. Hillsdale will continue serving a major purpose.

OT: Many people like to make video walkthroughs of single player games. Sony has flagship titles that involve single player. Also, as stated above, free to play games are not hindered by PS+, so most MMO's will be able to be played online by all.

I love games, but I was done with Microsoft last gen when I was burned over & over again. I have so many PS3 titles on my shelf that I have not played yet. Every game does not have to be played that may interest you. This is why one can have massive game enjoyment on one console. Not all of us single console supporters are unreasonable fanboys. I'm fully aware of each platforms strengths and weaknesses. Some things are just too hard to overlook.
Make sure that you aren't talking about 'The Agency'. A Sony rep wouldn't have that info to share regarding Take-Two/Rockstar's game. Agent has never been "canned" but SOE's The Agency has been canned so to speak. I believe that you have the titles mixed up. Easy mistake to make I suppose.
I'm not sure how true this rumor is, but my first thought was Playstation Home becoming a much more robust and streamlined service built into the OS. Much like an always functioning MMO. We will definitely see once Sony confirms or denies what their intentions are.
The current generation is NOT over. I'm fairly confident that the PS3 will outsell the Wii by the time the PS3 is off of the market.
No, DC PC and PS3 are separate. PS3 and PS4 players will play together however.
Mods for consoles equivalent to PC's. THIS would be a game changer! I could definitely see Sony using this approach. Not too sure about Microsoft.

Just to correct you, it has only been 7 years & 1 month in NA & Japan; launched in November of 2006. The PS3 launched in March (I believe) 2007 in Europe.
