Unless there is some time travel or some shit then no even in fictional story the past can not change. In assassin's creed games it is just that, the memories of the ancestors are the past experience,it has already happened so how can you change it?
For example, The point of animus is that the memories tell us that the ancestor had gone from point A to point B in their lifetime. Sure we can travel anyway in between( which we have been doing in assassin's creed games) but the...
Just make a new ip within the RPG genre if you're so eager Ubisoft.
This whole RPG mechanics just don't sit right within the Assassin's creed lore. Animus is supposed to be used to see memories of the ancestors. Just how the hell can you change all that? Change history? Stupid Ubisoft destroying the legacy of a once great series which they reduced to some mediocre franchise. SMH.
Yakuza 0 is out now on steam while Kiwami has already been set for release in the coming months. So no surprises here. Sega is going all out with their PC support.
Here's hoping persona series also makes it debut on pc in the future.
One thing about ubisoft is that they have excellent ideas when they start something new. But what's bad is that they just can't maintain that momentum. When it comes to creating new ip they have some of best ideas in the gaming industry but the final execution of those ideas is where they fall flat.
60 fps...that's it. Anything else is just an addon but 60 fps should be a must for next gen.
Although this ray tracing wont' be seen on consoles until next next gen, even the guys who showed the demo told us it was next next gen tech.
And more than 1 millions have already pre ordered on PC. So expect it to cross 10 million in a few months.
Or could be multi platform since the one who owns the ip is Sega. If their recent actions suggest anything it's that they're going the multi platform way.
The same way people consider UWP games xbox exclusive. The term used here should be "CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE".
You know what people were expecting? They were expecting it to run at 1440p with 60 fps on a GTX 1070 at ultra.
Why? Because a lot of games that looks and are technically miles away from this game already do run at 1440p/60 at ultra on a GTX 1070.
Now if a GTX 1080 can't run it at what a 1070 should've been able to do then yes it's a badly optimised game.
A lot of better looking games out there which run much better than this. AC origins is the latest example of this.
This is going to be shit port.
One x also have crappy cpu so that's why it can't do 60fps. PCs don't.
70%!!? For me it fell flat as soon as I finished one boss. As soon as I was done with that one boss(the youngest brother I think) I had seen everything far cry 5 had to offer. After that it became redundant and boring. Not to mention those forced boss segment missions, really hated those.
A simple remaster won't do at all for a game this old. It need a remake treatment just like shadow of colossus did.
They're not wasting time with resistance 2 or 3 specifically. Emulators don't target specific games. They offer general improvement across the whole library. Some games break other times they might improve performance. Some games may not even work due to certain limitation just like you mentioned.
A year ago persona 5 crawled too you know. Now it runs at almost 20 to 60 fps just like ps3 version but with the added option of 4k as well as 60 fps in palaces.
There's still 2 more years left this gen(2019,2020). A lot can happen, they probably won't manage to catch up to ps4 like ps3 did with xbox 360 last gen but at least they have a chance to rebuild their brand name with the gamers.
Anyway as for the next gen Microsoft has already started working on it. This E3 presentation was a testament to that.
Just out of curiosity what are the games so far released that actually looks to be qualified as a GOTY?
I see only two which are god of war and monster hunter world. Maybe Celeste? But I don't know if an indie will be considered GOTY.
For all the negative points in the reviews of most ubisoft games get for being empty open worlds I was surprised when every reviewer conveniently forgot to mention the empty open world of BOTW.
BOTW was definitely a good game but far from being a GOTY.
Divinity original sin 2(had the best sandbox RPG gameplay mechanics ever)was my GOTY and was seriously underrated when it came to any award show.
They only need to improve two things IMO and those are-
No loading screen( that's where witcher 3 succeded most, it was the first open world rpg to do so).
Change the engine Bethesda, it was already showing it's age back in 2011.
The difference between all the games you mentioned and assassin's creed is that those games already had an established universe where player choice was part of the narrative from the get go, so whatever you did was your own story from the beginning of the moment you started playing.
But with assassin's creed games it's different. It's universe was established based on the fact that we as a player only got to experience the memories of the ancestors which had already ...
