In it's current state the epic store is no more than an anti consumer store. Maybe in the future if it comes loaded with feature same as steam or even more then maybe, but in it's current state PC gamers really don't need this.

I wonder what kind of reaction these people who demand easy mode will have when they find out that Sekiro actually has a hidden "hard mode" lmao.

They never did. And even today cutscenes actually look better when compared to actual gameplay.
Now, if you're comparing previous generation CGI cutscenes with today's gameplay, which I think you're doing, then yeah today's games have surpassed them.

If it's of same calibre as that of resident evil 2 then yes. It's definitely a yes. I'd even go on and say that publishers should rather make remake than make the so called "remaster" which are nothing but a new colour filter cash grab.

If only epic had all those features that steam has. But it does not. So no, it's not really a competition for steam. And instead of improving their store epic starts making 3rd party games exclusive on their bare bones store(and believe me when I say this that pc gamers hate exclusive or any sort of thing that even resembles or hints at a closed ecosystem, there's a reason why Microsoft failed and still has not been successful on pc gamong market). So yeah no wonder pc gamers are mad....

My personal selection, Mass Effect 1. Also, the list was awful.

Well since Epic Store doesn't support regional pricing it will stop many gamers outside the US market. Add to that no review system for proper feedback, no dedicated forum for discussion, and many other things that epic lack compared to steam, I say it most certainly will stop a lot of pc gamers from buying it.

This is not good for gamers though. It's just moving from one monopoly to another, not real competition there.
If it had been released on both storefront then it would've been a real competition.
Also compared to Steam Epic store doesn't have the same features so not really good for gamers. It's only good for the publisher who will get better cut.

With the recent success of remakes from capcom and Sony it's clear that remakes are going to be the next big thing after remasters.
I hope bioware won't miss their chance with mass effect remake.

I remember mass effect 3 having two seperate modes, one being the action mode where there were no player choice and the other being the RPG mode where there were player choice.
Maybe ubisoft should implement this feature in thier future titles. I for one don't like this forced RPG nonsense in assassins creed, I want assassins creed to have a consistent story...a canon story, not this whole "make your own story" crap. I tried but no matter how I looked at it, a branching...

Would've made more sense to release on Steam as PC gamers in some or the other way(emulation) already can play previous games.

One of the best turn based RPG I've ever played, Divinity original sin 2 and one of the action RPG, The Witcher 3. Though I would prefer action RPG more but given the choice it entirely depends on the game.

Price and exclusive. Price is first as no one is going to buy a 600+ USD console(even 500 is deal breaker for some) no matter how good the library is. Second is of course exclusives as this is what defines the whole allure of the console in question.
Hardware really don't matter that much especially from console point of view. On PC it does but not when it comes to consoles.

This here is the real problem. Ubisoft wanted to make assassins creed an RPG game but it's foundation which had been laid down since first game screamed linearity.
The whole "choice based" gameplay was forced and was a mistake in the first place as it didn't fit the whole animus and ancestral roots of the game that started with AC 1.
Ubisoft could've made a new Prince of Persia rebooted RPG game but instead they chose a linear game and forced a RPG syst...

No such thing as future proof in technology today....by the time that 16 GB becomes useful we'll already have better cards in the market.

Here's hoping the updated version of this and the upcoming updated version of Persona 5 will also see release on PC in the future. With the recent actions of Sega it might be a matter of 'when' and not 'if'.

Still waiting (and hopeful) for a sequel.

"True exclusive".. really? On Xbox? In 2019? After the whole "play anywhere"? We still believing that? Okay then...

"Here are games running at 8k on PC"
N4G users - "What's the point? Stop wasting power on resolution...there isn't even 8k screens to watch this.."
"Here is GT Sports running at 8k"
N4G users - "This looks incredible! Yay Sony! Can't wait for next gen...looks great even on 720p mobile screen...."
It's almost as if people here at N4G only think critically as long as it's not related to anything Son...

I don't know how well Microsoft will do next gen but one thing is for sure, Sony and Nintendo will have one tough competition from Microsoft unlike this gen where there is no competition for Sony and Nintendo.
