@GtR35olution
Well the difference is that Sony has ps exclusive(that only appear on ps like uncharted 4) as well as console exclusive(games that appear on PC but not on other console like nier) but xbox has only console exclusive.
Although I too consider exclusives when it is exclusive to only one platform but nowadays it looks like a new marketting term "console exclusive" has mixed up the defition of exclusive among gamers.
Shadow of Mordor was also labeled as assassin creed and Batman Arkham esque game but that didn't stop it from becoming a surprise hit.
I can see the same thing with horizon. It might be the next big thing.
What's the chances Ubisoft gonna pull black flag or far cry 3 with this one.
Don't know about anything anything else but one thing that definitely should improve is boss fights. The last boss was a joke in first game.
If its shadow of Mordor 2 I wanna see how the Nemesis system work this time around. Oh and the side content should also be improved this time.there wasn't much to do in that large map of first game.
"Exclusive" excuse is the trend these days.Were there really that much exclusive games in previous generation? I mean not the exclusive quantity wise(otherwise everyone would jump aboard PC) but quality wise . How many quality exclusive actually release in a year that are really worth it? Like 3 to 5 ? And apart from fanboys how many of these games do an average gamer actually buy and play considering there are a lot of better multi platform games too released in the same year?
Okay but this is not a first party studio owned by Sony is it? And neither is it funded specifically by Sony as was the case with Bloodborne.So there is always a possibility.
And who knows,more and more of these exclusive games are coming to PC you would get why I got that thinking in the first place.
I don't .
My point was that those millions of people who pirated the game didn't have any mindset to support devs in the first place. Yes its sad but what could you or anyone do about it?
I mean there will always be a cracker as long as there is a game to crack. And pirates will always be around to get the freebies.
@Eonjay
Care to explain then?
@Goldby
Let's assume the amount of people who wouldn't buy the game is x. Now let's just say that the XYZ game is not cracked. So did the company got the sales from these x amount of people?
Now if the game is cracked and these people do pirate it and still don't buy it how is it any different? The company didn't get any money from these people in the first place.
Oh and these people who ...
I don't know why but I get this feeling that this game will eventually release on PC too maybe a year later but it will. Koei tecmo is the publisher and as berserk another koei tecmo game is releasing on PC too I can see the possibility. The game does look dope.
And how do you know that those millions of people who pirated wouldn't have bought the game after playing it and in the end supported the devs? Also the fact that there are those who wouldn't have paid even if they couldn't pirate it so I don't think the devs would have lost any money in the first place.
But you know what else they got aside from money even from those who did buy and didn't? REPUTATION which will only secure there future title salewise and I'm...
Let's just hope devs Don't go mental and start introducing always online in PC games even in single player.
And how are developers losing there jobs from piracy? I mean you do know that there are people who would rather wait indefinitely for crack than actually buy the games right? So these devs weren't getting sales From these people anyway.
You see what most people including you don't get is that pirates weren't the potential buyers in the first place so devs weren't gonna get their money anyway.
Oh and I'm not justifying piracy just pointing out these flaw...
I'm waiting for someone to say that's why PC games don't sell. And I'm here to give them Witcher 3's example btw which was DRM free.
@migh_and_highty ".. but I think the end user cares more about the future differentiator games than slightly more pixels in a version of a game. "
So now resolution doesn't matter? I wonder if that was the case when xbox one did 900p as compared to ps4's 1080p.
What if Scorpio provided 60fps option on AAA Games. That would surely turn eyes.
True enough. But I also suppose VR is not that huge in the market right now so this shouldn't be a big deal .
Still exclusivity sucks and I think if there are options available they should be equally distributed to all platforms.
No but I play on PC so I don't see your logic there.
Exactly.
That means no improvement. Just minial graphics patch like pro has. That's a shame. But it was warrented as developers won't leave developing on weaker platforms(ps4 and xbox one) since larger users are there. So i the end only stronger will suffer just as PC has suufered all this time.
