This is pretty cool news. I just finished the game, and while it looked okay, I always wondered how it compared to the superior 360 version.
I'm playing through again on hard, so I guess we'll see.
Well, shît. I was just about to buy a PSP 3000 before I read this – I had it in my Best Buy shopping cart and everything. Oh well.
Super Secret was dead-on about the PS3 Slim, so I don't see why we shouldn't expect a PSP 4000.
Hopefully it comes out sooner than later – maybe they'll announce it at TGS – because I'm planning on ordering the UMD version of Persona PSP very soon – it comes with a free 2 CD soundtrack. Atlus FTW!

I have a few good reasons why PS2 BC should come back to the PS3:
1. I can't see who's online and if they're sending me messages if I'm gaming on a PS2.
2. They say that PS2 BC isn't necessary because people are buying PS3s to play PS3 games. Oh yeah, well then what the fück is there PS1 BC for, and why the fück is FF7 the top download on the PS Store?
3. I never owned a PS2. The PS3 made me a hardcore gamer. You know what hardcore gamers like?...

I went to a Best Buy here in small-town Canada last night and there were only two PS3s left in a display built to hold at least 12.
When did that price drop again? Oh right, it was 11 a.m. yesterday.
LOL! That's exactly what I did, minus the duct tape. I have my PS3 sitting on top of a fat PS2 – it's a monstrosity, but it works.
Sometimes I think that my setup is better than having BC on the PS3 because I can have both systems on at once. So if I'm playing a little Persona 4 on the PS2 and want to take a quick break and play a some CoD4 with a few buddies I can just pause the game, switch inputs on the display and get right into it.
I just got an e-mail from a guy at work this morning asking me what happened at the conference yesterday, because two of his buddies are thinking about buying PS3s.
Things are heating up!
I would go out and buy a BC PS3 if the prospect of emulated backwards compatibility wasn't always seemingly around the corner. A lot of people thought it would be announced yesterday, so why would I go out and drop $600 on Ebay if I could get a free firmware six months from now?

I can hook up my SNES right now and play some Final Fantasy III, but will you be able to play the games on your PSP Go 15 years from now? Will you be able to transfer the games to the PSP 2 when it comes out? What will happen to my downloaded games on my PS3 for that matter?
