I don't buy used games (unless to avoid getting the Platinum/Greatest hits versions!), but I do rent, and I must say this really sucks. I don't see why I should be punished for just wanting to try a game out. These days $60 is a lot to drop on a game that you may or may not like.
There is a difference between having some bugs and balance issues than being broken. Gears of War and Modern Warfare have their problems but you havn't played a broken game unless you played Socom: Confrontation from October 2008 to March 2009, that was truly broken.
Never played the first but from what I heard it sucked major a$$...Killzone 2 was one of the rare sequels that took all the criticism to heart and brought the house down.
The lack of modes is EXACTLY why I skipped Bad Company 2, I played the first one and was bored with it after a few days. The map is too small, it freezes like a sumb!tch, the sound effects, weapon models, interface, menus, and animations were all ripped straight from Battlefield Bad Company 2. It was if Dice just copied and pasted but along the way broke a ton of things in the process and removed Bad Company 2's best feature...destructible environments. I hate the gameplay is better than graphics argument. It is such BS. Am I really asking too much for both? If the developers of Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 could do it, then why can't anybody else? It seems like they settle with, "Eh, it is good enough". The gameplay footage looked like crap, I am not saying it has to have the best graphics but it shouldn't look like a PS2 HD.
Dude, you have NO idea what you are talking about. Resistance 2 came out in November of 2008, while Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2 came out in October/November 2009, an entire year later. Those two games didn't affect it sales at all. If anything Gears of War 2, World at War, LittleBigPlanet, and Fallout 3 overshadowed it.

I would imagine something like Uncharted 2 and Gears of War 2's co-op, Heroes vs. endless waves of A.I. enemies. Not something like story co-op.
Yay! I thought I was the only one who wanted to see a 0% delete option. It is just that I rent A LOT of games to try em' out and have a load of 0%'s. It takes ages to sync and look at people's trophies.
