Screw the specs! Nintendo just needs to pull an N64 and there good.

Make the Wii U's GPU capable of being swapped out, simple!!! Then once the new xbox and playstation arrive, Nintendo can just release a new GPU that rivals those of the new consoles. The hardcore would buy the crap in a minute, regardless of price.

And yes its not out of the question they could do this. This is Nintendo were talking about, history shows they will do whatever the heck they...

Screw the specs! All Nintendo needs to do is pull an N64.

Make the Wii U GPU capable of being swapped out. Then once the new xbox and ps4 come out, release a new Wii U GPU that rivals those of the new consoles. Price won't matter, the hardcore will buy the new GPU in a second.

And yes its totally possible, they showed this with N64. It's Nintendo after all, they can pull whatever move they want outta their arse.

Actually mandeep1803 is right there are many instances i've had with pc games, especially when its dark, when i've had to look down to see what i'm pressing.

Hitting those numbers and "alt" key can get a little tricky sometimes.

@bishop-br

"hey are setting their STANDARD in the equivalent of current gen best" That is more of an assertion barely supported only by the unfinished products as of yet.

The current-gen consoles CLEARLY put their standards as not being HD, since most of their games weren't. The Wii U hasen't set any standard since there have hardly been any producers making games for it yet.

However what can be said is that the very first W...

Nice!!! If I get a Wii U i'll definitely pick up this and Batman: Arkham City. These games look awesome on the Wii U, can't wait to see what new features they add on the gamepad.

Oh and I before anyone comes with assertions that i'm only picking them because I couldn't play them before, your wrong. I have a ps3 and pretty good pc. I just never really cared for these games before.

"The new Ghost recon game? Oh yeah, we were all expecting THAT game to impress technically."

Oh so many people dont have a problem with today's games not even be true native HD? OOKKK

Heck Halo 4, which everybody is praising graphically, is finally going to be native 720p. But I know Halo 3 and Reach, weren't. This is the first true HD Halo game. WELCOME HALO!!!!!!!! It took you 7yrs into the 360's lifespan to finally achieve HD status....

"We've traveled to the year 2006!"

I'm not sure about that, where there any games back then that had "true native 720p" resolution? I don't remember.

But what can be said is that if the Wii U first party games are indeed 720p at launch, then they are indeed superior in HD than those released by ps3 or 360 at that time.

"being confirmed 720p 30fps"

Thats actually higher than most games coming out for the ps3 or 360. People are being duped if they think they are getting 720p in most of their games.

Heck the new Ghost Recon game that just came out has a lesser native resolution than 720p. It can't even be considered truely HD.

They look good to me. Decent for the first launch line up of a system.

Just look at the launch line up for the ps3 or 360, they looked crappy compared to now. Heck Resistance: Fall of Man didn't look much better than Halo 2 or Metroid Prime.

So far I just like how the Wii U is easily playing today's top games without a problem, aka Mass Effect and AC3. These games are suppose to be high quality for today's consoles and the fact that the Wii U is p...

Nintendo should make a trade deal with Ubisoft. Allow ZombiU to go multiplat, but in exchange Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell most come to Wii U.

I think its meant to be like that, to give you the feeling of having to look down to look at your inventory/backpack.

In the trailer it showed this. When the character looked down at his backpack to look at his supplies, so will you as the player. It's meant to be realistic in the since that you have to look down to get pick your weapon, like you normally would.

No surprising. 1080p will never probably never overtake the standard 720p in terms of games. This is simply true because you can add better graphics with 720p games than you could if they were native 1080p. More resolution = less details.

Ubisoft.

In terms of the big 3, Nintendo probably. I say "probably" because they still have to show the 3DS software. Once that is factored in it will defeat both Sony and Microsoft.

If not, then Sony comes in second.

"They chose to shw ports and cartoony games bcus tht wont push the hardware and shw us tht it isnt next gen at all."

That statement is self-contradictory. You downgrade the Wii U graphics because modern day ports don't "push the hardware"? Isn't that expected from a next gen console

If the best games of today (Mass Effect, Batman, AC3) can't "push" the Wii U, then that implies its more powerful than ps3 or 360. Since ...

I agree with what you said about wii and current consoles, but your analogy doesn't hold up for the Wii U.

Besides the lack of info on any future specs, the difference in power between Wii U and ps4/xbox won't be as big. Or at least not visually.

How do I know? Just look at modern day high end pcs. The ps4 (for example) wont probably be as powerful as today's elite quality computers, yet even these computers can't produce graphics that are vis...

Good: asymmetric gameplay (sounds interesting), Pikmin 3, Ubisoft support

Bad: no specs (questionable power), no price/release date, no AAA title announced

Ugly: Thou not as bad as wii its clear Nintendo still favors causal gamers, too much emphasis on old games, NintendoLand as the ending (may not be a bad game, but thats how they go out?)

They all sucked!!! Ubisoft did have the best conference but given the competition that ain't saying much.

Besides Watch Dogs and Far Cry 3 they have nothing. I've never liked the Assassin Creed series, its easily wanna the most overrated games ever (and being milked like crazy too). Blacklist is already another insult to the TRUE SP franchise that came out last generation (Conviction & DA sucked ass).

And the Ghost Recon game that came out recentl...

WTF? Why wasn't this announced at the press conference?!?!?!

It's a new and original IP. Something that Nintendo needs more of, the hardcore have been saying this for years. Why would Nintendo ignore to surprise us with something like this?

Zipper you worthless pathetic @@@@!!! How could you have made awesome games like Socom 1 and 2, but then decide to turn around and take a huge, disgusting, gigantic piece of $H!T on the series and the fans.

Zipper hasn't made an AAA level game since 03. Yea some of their other Socom games have somewhat good, but really anything that doesn't live up to the standards of the originals can only tarnish the good name of the series. All this generation Zipper has produced O...

Lets face it, they created the original 2 Socom games by ACCIDENT. How is it possibly to create 2 back to back masterpieces and yet screw it up for the next decade? They have had since 03 to create another awesome Socom game and every time they failed by a long shot. Socom 3 and some the psp games were pretty good but fail to be even half as good as the originals, and Socom 4 is laughable.

MAG is a great idea but NOT a great game, just a pretty good game. Lets face it the hug...
