Uh actually a the new mario did sell the Wii U. The Wii U launch was a big success and was much more successful than the previous console generation launches. It was only after the holidays, when games slowed down, that the Wii U's numbers took a huge dive.

Wii U does not need a price cut, it just needs to have value. Which it currently doesn't from either a tech or gaming perspective.

Other than the mini disc thing, the GameCube was a beast of a system. That thing was powerful for its time.

If Nintendo came out with a Gamecube 2 right now, spec wise it would be just as powerful (if not more) than the ps4 or xbox one.

Honestly they need to drop that damn "rectanglish" look, its been beaten to death already. The Wii U is basically a rounded dvd player, One is a cable box, and ps4 is ps2 wannabe excepted shifted into a parallelogram.

Honestly I think Nintendo got it right with the Gamecube, it was a cool shape. I mean CUBES>>>>RECTANGLE S any day. But damn it they had to drop it and go back to boring rectangles.

I might have to go with the Wii U honestly, looks wise it looks ok. Like a small nice dvd player.

The ps4/One IDK, they just seem like they were aiming to do something unique (kinda) but missed the ball.

I like sony and I love my ps3 and all, but I gotta be serious. The console itself doesn't look to aesthetically pleasing, to me anyway.

IDK, I can see where they were going with it...but I think they should have gone for a more classy look, similar to how the first ps3 consoles were.

Oh well, still gonna be an awesome console.

1)"SIMPLICITY works best" as the saying goes. COD is a simple and reliable game. There is always people playing online and anyone can learn how to play

2) Killstreaks and unlocks/rankings. This is what makes people keep playing. There are hundreds of different things to unlock so players feel rewarded. Thus increasing the addictiveness of the game.

3) Obviously wanna the biggest reasons is its popularity. Many friends/family members will probably ha...

Handhelds make less profit???? LOL, tell that to the DS. The 3DS is has only recently started to return profits, due to Nintendo having to drop price they weren't making much money initially. But if the 3DS continues strong it will have a very nice return in cash.

The same can't be said for all consoles. Case in point the gamecube, N64, Xbox, ps3 (initially). Companies didn't get much back or worse, lost millions with them.

Don't get me wrong,...

Maybe I see the strategy in this. Nintendo is trying to avoid a battle they know they can't win, they are up against 2 major consoles being released.

Lets face it, as much as everyone here is saying they love E3 nothing Nintendo does would help them. Nintendo could unveil a new Mario, Zelda, new IP, Smash Bros. and Wii U price cut....but all of that would still be overshadowed by the release of new consoles like the ps4.

My guess is Nintendo will avoid a ...

I'm not entirely sure Nintendo is too worried. Lets not forget Nintendo has MONEY IN THE BANK!!!!! Even if the Wii U crashes and burns horribly, Nintendo would still be financially secure for many many years. Plus the 3DS is doing great now and making some nice cash.

This is however a strange strategy Nintendo is playing. Again the company itself is not in any real trouble whatsoever. But in terms of trying to win the console wars, I'm not sure what they are thinking....

Kant's apriori???? You mean his idealism. Which is actually due more uncontrollable acts of the mind interferring with sensory information more than ones taste.

Nintendo's staff needs to be fired immediately. Seriously who are the idiots that are supposed to be in charge of marketing the Wii U??? Hardly any commercials, highway advertisements, posters, magazines,etc....I haven't seen the Wii U on any marketing media.

And fire whoever planned the Wii U software launch window. Nintendo should know they can't rely on 3rd party support. They should have had minimum 3 nintendo exclusive releases back to back in the months afte...

Your joking. World at War's mod support was great. New maps, intense zombie mods, modern weapons, etc...

Maybe you just don't look to deep into it, mod support is alive and kicking for many of the major games out there.

And plus they allow games to survive years compared to the console versions. Which is why Counter Strike Source continues to rival almost all modern fps despite being 8 years old.

MODS, pc defeats consoles for one simple reason. MODS!!!!!

PC gamers can make mods that rival and in many cases are superior to the main game itself. The graphics, level design, and overall quality of some mods destroy those of the main game itself. That is something that no console can ever achieve.

Playing COD on console is one thing, but once you add the awesome new levels, different weapons, skins, graphics, etc...that the pc version brings. Oh man!!! And...

Its a self hating circle.

Nintendo fans blame third party developers because they don't support the Wii U version as much as the other systems. Third party developers blame the Nintendo fans for not buying their games, thus why they won't make more. SOOOOO hows at fault???

Third party wont make Nintendo games cause they won't sell. Nintendo fans dont buy because third party developers won't make. Its a self defeating circle.

"Different engine, different weather and a different environment...nice try"

Oh i'm sorry is the fact that a Medal of Honor game has a different engine making you mad and scream unfair? Too bad, so what all games need to be set in the same environment with the same engine to be compared?

Crysis 3? Hows about Crysis 2:

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

No great games for PC? Rome 2 Total War is already game of the year confirmed. Plus every game the consoles have is already made far superior on PC thanks to mods.

Consoles should just turn over all their exclusive tittles to us PC gamers. Will mod them and make them a better than the makers themselves.
