It wasn't "perfectly logical". Switch is massively underpowered. We'll never see the likes of The Witcher 3 running on it, and hence why I'm disappointed in Nintendo's need to cut corners and not actually make a powerhouse so we can experience generation/genre defining games like Ocarina and Mario 64.
As a huge Zelda fan (although haven't played Breath of the Wild), I find this being number 1 shocking. Again, haven't played but seen enough to know the boss design is amongst the worst of the franchises (plus there isn't many at all), 19 forms of Gannon (not 19 but may as well be, phoned in like Wind Waker) and dungeons are the worst ever bar none. I'm sure it's a stellar game but not having it above other Zelda entries, never mind other games.
They went down this road because the hardware can't produce photo-realistic visuals. Hence why Xenoblade Chronicles 2 looks like trash with chibi looking models because of the same production problems. It's hardware, underpowered and thus why I'm waiting for a super scaled (Witcher-esque), generation defining Zelda game, 2 generations on.
Looks hideous, no wonder it has the cartoon shader, weak hardware for you. Smart to use tricks to make the games look better than they do, shame we won't get a Twilight Princess looking game with the scale of The Witcher 3 until Nintendo makes a real console.
Sorry Jim, just no. Sony has allowed some horrible games on to PSN, no doubt about it. However, in no way is the games any worse or as plentiful as it is on Steam. Sony would have to allow thousands of absolute trash titles on the store just to keep up with the garbage pile Steam has amassed in the last few years.
Only 4 million behind 3DS yet is way more expensive and out near 3 years fewer. PS4 is a beast.
As I said to a friend; 'If it means better services and better games, not bothered at all. I use it enough and have 2 years left anyway.'
I've been buying loads of games this year on sale with + double discount so it really isn't an issue for me personally.
Kinda pitiful how they've reduced the continent of Tamriel by so much.
Daggerfall is huge.
Skyrim is tiny.

Cool video, think Minecraft shouldn't count like No Man's Sky doesn't. Procedurally generated maps/worlds are not the same as designed worlds.
So how I doubt it, Sony will drop Pro to $350 the week X releases.
I made this comment 145 days ago, think it stands perfectly now after the facts.
'So if DF is right, and they usually are, Scorpio won't be hitting true 4K like PS4 Pro doesn't and because it's probably going to house the Jaguar 8-core solution it won't perform much better either. Microsoft needs to get this thing out asap and match PS4 Pro price wise or expect to be slaughtered in the US, never mind worldwide!'
Yet several games that were shown at their conference aren't even 4K and still 30fps. $100 more than PS4 Pro (as it is) and basically the exact same experience.
Xbox E3 showed 5 Xbox/Windows 10 "exclusives";
Forza Motorsport 7, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3 & Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Only Forza & Ori were new announcements.
8 other games that were "Console Launch Exclusives", basically Timed Console Exclusives.
Tacoma and Ashen were announced at last year's E3 as "Xbox/Windows Play Anywhere" exclusives but now are labelled "Console Laun...
Preferred the current, or now old one I guess. Maybe they actually changed it because of Jim F****** Sterling Son's "Oh, Ubisoft" segment.
The writers of this article should be embarrassed.
Look at The Last of Us 2, using something similar yet way better.
No thanks, unlike Nintendo, Sony actually go to every major gaming event year in year out. Sony also hold PlayStation Experience and also PlayStation Meetings when something important is on the horizon, no need!
Reasons not too...
June - Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy
August - Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
September - Gran Turismo Sport
October - God of War
November - Spider-Man
+ All the others already released this year; Horizon, Nioh, Nier, Persona 5, etc.
Games sell systems.
Exactly, not when it costs over 3x PS4 Pro.
Nintendo fans make me laugh at the best of times, my experience with them is usually entertaining and I get from the vast majority of them that they're the least informed fan base in all of gaming and stuff like this just proves it. The other day I had one person claim FIFA on Switch is identical to PS4's graphics (not a troll) and another claim Switch has 1TFLOP/s of power and has higher specs than Xbox One (again, not a troll).
The YouTube scene is rife with uninf...
