I was just thinking that yesterday. Heavy Rain would fit well with motion controls. I'd never use it cause I prefer a regular controller but it would work well for those who want it.
I've learned (after MGS4) that if I know I'm going to buy a game, I'm not going to watch any of the cutscenes from it before I get it. I loved MGS4 but those 15 minute trailers that I watched dozens of times kinda killed it when I was finally playing it.
Anyways, can't wait for Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank.
kinda off topic but didn't Super_Secret say backwards compatibility would come back with the slim?
Backwards compatibility is a nice feature to have. It lets you play all games on one system instead of having to go through two different consoles. Also there's having a wireless controller instead of a wired one (this generation spoiled us with wireless). Plus (big one for me) you don't have to worry about memory cards since you can make your own. I'm lucky to have a 60 GB PS3 but it's died twice on me already, YLOD and the blu ray thing broke (8th playthrough of Uncharted was too much ...
I hate how most articles on ratchet and clank don't get much attention. It's like it's dropped off the radar of most people. I wonder why that is? The PS2 games were some of the best in the PS2's library and tools of destruction is still one of the bedt games on the PS3 (easily top 10). And they're bringing back the best villains in the series. I don't get it. I hope this gets the attention it disserves.
I don't think that's quite true. It's $60 here in the US but in UK, the price is still too high. So in other words, nothing's changed and I encourage everyone to buy it used if you must get it. I usually don't get into this kinda stuff but this could end up coming back to bite each and everyone of us.
boycott mw2!
Kinda off topic but...
Boycott!!! (i.e. buy it used)
I don't know if it's true that it's the hype that makes kingdom hearts so popular, at least for me. I followed none of the hype for any of the kingdom hearts games yet KH1 was the best game I ever played till I played MGS3. It was also my first rpg now that I think about it but I digress.
Kingdom Hearts is just very well put together. Great story, great gameplay and Sephiroth (I actually beat him once in it).
Am I the only one who was annoyed by the dialogue in ME 1? There were times that the dialogue was so bad it was just laughable. And the directing was pretty bad too. It was really cheesy in some parts. I'm not saying it was a bad game but it's flaws weren't only the framerate and stuff like that.
Oh and KOTOR was better.
I zoomed in with my PSP and it looks like it says "This model of Playstation 3 system is designed to play Playstation 2 (or 3, not sure) format software and has limited backwards compatibility."
If that's true, I think I'm getting a PS3 slim then. That's all that was holding me back.
@cmrbe and presto717
I read somewhere that they were putting a bunch of difficulty modes because a major complaint towards tools of destruction was the difficulty. From easy to really hard.
By the way, if you want tools of destruction to be harder, just don't upgrade the armor so often. That makes things really hard. Especially the ending stage.
Didn't brothers in arms hell's highway kinda do this? I haven't played it but I thought it was about a lost battle or something.
Maybe that store believes there's going to be a new PS3 so they're taking preorders for it?
no
just no
God, I think you might be the only person that caught that. Good eye
Does anyone know if you can share this 5 times like PSN games?
I have the code from infamous and I want to share it with some of my friends
honestly, was that really a necessary comment?
I am looking forward to this game though, hope it's good
The music wasn't as good as the others (it wasn't made by nobuo uematsu I believe, that's the problem) and balthier was the only character that was interesting
@Number 9
he directed saving private ryan and won best director at the academy awards
@Raiinstorm81
pixar are the best and will always be the best. Dreamworks, with their barely funny movies that try too hard, don't have a chance to ever beat the timeless quality that pixar movies like wall-e and toy story have.
@TOO PAWNED
Munich was the last movie he directed worth watching
The ending of Bioshock wasn't that bad. The ending boss was pretty bad though. It was like it was from another game.
But, let me get this straight. They're saying HL2 had a worse ending than Halo 2? I remember when I finished Halo 2 I replayed the last level again cause I thought I skipped the last cutscene. That's how sudden and unfulfilling that ending was. That's one the reasons why I never played Halo 3; cause 2 ended so badly.
And this list is terrible fo...
