Though I didn't buy it, I'm still kinda shocked to see how little it sold, considering all previous iterations were multi-million sellers.
But then again, only 1 of my friend even bought it, and we played the hell out of the past Tekken offerings.
Just goes to show you how disappointed all of us were with Tekken 6. Probably, the worst Tekken after the atrocious turd that is 4 (Wind Godfist juggles only on CH, you've got to be kidding me!).
The latest version is...
I do agree with you on some of your points.
But I still think Sony, should get this. SEGA already has a suitable engine in place, the one they are using for the Yakuza series on PS3, so funding this may not be as costly as everyone might think. It will also promote goodwill between SEGA and SONY, who knows, they might even make more exclusive for the PS3. Most of all, it will be another feather in the cap for Sony, another high quality exclusive that you can't play anywhere.
No one took a chance to localise and release it for the west. I mean why would they? The game flopped so hard, that after the first week its on the bargain bin. It made the news round that way.
Also at the time it was released, they had to put it on a special DS cart with a large capacity, which was a record back then, though I think the Level 5 developed Dragon Quest and Ni no kuni had already exceeded that.
Add the cost of the cart to localisation, marketing, and ...
MS basically just finance their development, in return for exclusivity, but Mistwalker owns the IPs.
That's the reason you see Blue Dragon on the DS, with the first one being published by Namco Bandai and the second by AQ interactive, even though it first appeared on the 360.
I'm not going to buy the game and hell if I'm going to support a company with this much BS, that they practically reek of it.
This is a case of "The Battered Wife Syndrome". I don't know about you guys, but I want no part of it.
It seems kinda dumb for a late port to have a higher price point. It's not like we haven't got a chance to play this game before in its early iteration. In fact, I already have the PS2 version.
I'll buy it again but at $10 or less.
Are you telling me that a company that can make a huge game like FFXIII multi-plat, can't develop a FLIMSY Arcade title on all platforms?
The scumbags at SE, thinks were born yesterday. LOL
I would have understood, if the games in question were technical marvels, but sadly they are not.
Nice try SE, but please work on your BS alot more. It's coming out so pathetically, that it's downright hilarious XP
They are the only company I know of in Japan, that has not yet made anything for the next-gen consoles. They are also, the only one big enough to produce the many titles that were alluded to by Famitsu.
They already have No More Heroes and Rainy Woods slated for the 360, the rest could be XBLA or NATAL launch titles.
Let me guess, this is the same one that was already running on the PS3 but was cut for some reason? If this isn't for free, and you are going to sell it to us, then FCUK U SE!!! I'm not buying you're stupid gimped game.
On my first play-through, I was so enamored by shooting bad guys in a Metal Gear Universe, which is a ridiculously fun novelty and a first for the series, that I use stealth only when I needed to.
I played it MGS-style only after beating the game and to get the emblems I missed.
It's a Great read and I am eagerly awaiting the sequel.
I will admit, I am not familiar with his other works. Unlike the ones, I've mentioned in my list. I actually discovered him by chance. Liked the cover of the book, and just bought it on impulse.

I'm going to get this for my nephew. he loves LBP and Disney's CARS. I'm sure he will love this.
No game got more "hype" than this one, how can the author miss the most obvious one?
As for Bayonetta, only fanboy reviewers with agendas, would give this one with an inflated score. While most games get penalized for their stories, this one gets a pass for its nonsensical one. And let's not forget, the lazy cut scenes, sprinkled through out the game. While some games are labeled as movies, I don't understand why this one is not mentioned as a "Slide Show"? Ho...
If you haven't got the Unlimited Ammo get that first. Then strap on a machine gun. There's a level fairly late in the game, inside Outer Heaven, before the scene where Snake gets microwaved, filled with little robots that spawn infinitely.
Pick a spot then use the machine gun in conjunction with the Unlimited Ammo, then begin mowing them down. They give out alot of DP, use the Metal Gear Mk. III to pick those up. If they are getting close to you, go to the other side. Rinse and r...
"Instead of calling me stupid, ask yourself this question, what would the devs/publishers gain from making the PS3 version inferior? Wouldn't they want both to be as identical as possible to secure more profit?"
That's the Ideal situation, but not even the best of intentions, could make it a certainty. In this case, it's the mismanagement on Sega's part and misjudgement on Platinum's. Though both are equally culpable, I'll chalk this up to Platinum for deciding to use t...

Show me a DBZ game that rated 90 and above, you fricking can't. Hell, it would be lucky just to get a rating of 70-80.
I don't think this guy even knows what overrated really means.
I'm guessing a new Dragon Quest remake is in the works, since the last one sold like pancakes.
Even with the retail success of FFXIII on the PS3, I still expect SE to piss us off. My gut feeling tells me, that they would make another exclusive for the 360. Yeah, SE's dumb like that.
