Not all people share the same likes and dislikes, and with that, we also have different priorities.
A game worth $60 for me, might not be worth that much to you, and vice-versa.
Take RDR for example, for most gamers this would be Day 1 $60 easy. But for me, it's not an essential purchase. But since, I've been hearing good things about it, I might give it a go.
Sadly, we don't live in a perfect world, where everyone of us is rich...
but Sony has already patented it.

and I'll buy it. Add Gackt's Tsuki no Uta, and it's day 1.
2.2M for Lost Planet 2? I bet they didn't see those reviews, when they made that forecast.
3M for Dead Rising 2? 1-2M Sure, but 3M? I don't think so.
The 2 figures above, make it more like wishful thinking.
But their forecast for MVC3 at 2M, is low IMO.
They fricking did it for their wallets, is what this DLC is telling me.
I thought one of the reasons, they made SSFIV a retail game instead of DLC, was that it included everything already. I guess not.:(
This is one of the reasons, why I haven't bought a Capcom game this gen (I got DMC4 as a gift, and a few of their PSN release, that was shared to me by a friend).
Better luck next time, Capcom. I ain't supporting this kind of crap.
MS has dissolved not only most of its first party studios, but they have also let most of its 2nd Party Developers, that used to develop games for them exclusively, to be picked up by other game publishers.
And since MS seems to have develop an aversion to financing the whole game production this gen. The next best thing to do is "TIMED EXCLUSIVES".
This is the only they can compete with Sony's large 1st Party/2nd Party Studios.

Just imagining the possibilities, puts a big smile on my face!
2.5D Platforming/RPGS (Odin Sphere, Muramasa) with co-op to boot, here we come! I hope someone really creative out there would do a Symphony of the Night LBP version.
WOW! the things that the LBP community could do with this game, would be pure awesome.
ME WANT GAME NOW!!! :D
a. One could be Tales of Vesperia for the west.
b. The Gundam game that was previously released in Japan that could also see a western release.
c. Another would be the new Gundam game that was previously announced for the arcades, that would probably be ported to the PS3 somewhere in 2011.
d. Another Century's Episode: R
e. A Move-enabled game.
Persona 5 for the PS3. Everything else is just icing in the cake.
No matter how much you spin it, it will simply mean, that they don't have much faith in it. Which is worrying for those who are buying it, no matter how you look at it.
There has been a lot of issues raised against Natal, and this will not help alleviate them.
And I don't think MS could get away with controlled demos, celebrity testers and concept videos this year, unlike last year's E3. With only months away from release, Natal is going to need a...
I've yet to be impress by any of SE's previous offerings, So I doubt this will.
Hell, I haven't even bought any SE game this gen and that includes FFXIII (borrowed from a friend) and I waited for it for many years.
What's surprisng are the people commenting in outrage of this, when all along they have been paying MS just to let them play online, which is fricking hilarious, anyway you look at it.
Not to mention, most of you even defend paying for Xbox Live because of it's perceived "superiority". And any mention of it's faults, and you'll be labeled as a fanboy and sometimes even worse. What kind of message do you think that gives to MS? "If our fans are willing to plunk down...
Go read the blog. He didn't slander MGS:PW in any way. And it's actually good.
He just explains, that advertisement/exclusivity among other things can influence review scores, since it is the general source of income for most publications, both online and off.
It may not be morally upstanding, but its considered a Standard Practice, and certainly nothing new, in the gaming media circles or any other media for that matter, where reviews are concerned.

I get the need, to create noise inorder to promote your game.
But surely, there are more effective and realistic way of doing it
Hyping the game to such unbelievable levels, would create an equally absurd high expectations, that would be very hard to meet.
Failing this would result in a backlash, that a new game such as this one, does not need.
It's like every game nowadays needs 1 or more outlandish claims to justify its existence.

specially if you're a PC/PS3 Owner like me. If it comes, then good. If not, I doubt PS3 owners would lose sleep because of it.
Mass Effect 2- I have the first one. Since I did not even finished it, I did not even bother with the 2nd one.
Gears 2- I have 1 on my PC, it's good and I like it. But I won't buy 2, even if it came belatedly either on the PC or the PS3. There are too many new games out there, more deserving of my money.
Halo 3- L O L! Are you se...
Sorry, but you're probably a noob. You could get away with that on Soulcalibur but not on Tekken.
On Tekken, you're going to get juggled ad infinitum or eaten by sidestep attacks, if you tried anything like that, against anyone who's fairly knowledgeable about the game.
Leavings?
I think "departures" would be a better word to use.
Unless he's using the word to mean leftovers, scraps, residue etc. But that would be wrong in context of the sentence.
of some GI Joe/MASK (<-Yeah the one from Mattel) Action Figures, I used to have.
That reminds me, I think someone should make a MASK or a Centurion videogame.
I mean, if Spyhunter could be a hit, why not the Mask? More vehicle variety that transforms, as well as characters with special abilities. And yeah, they should definitely add the Motorbike that transforms into a helicopter. Damn, I love that one.
As for centurion, well Imagine playing Just C...
Specially, the MW2 DLC. I mean, 1 fricking month, and MS had to beat their collective chest, boasting it out to the world? If that isn't HYSTERICAL, then I don't know what is.
