I would love to see a new Metal Slug with crazy HD visuals ala Muramasa or something similar. That would be a stellar must buy for alot of gamers I would think.
It seems some people just love to hate everything.
hurray for crappy economy!!!
Hmmm was always a fan of the Metal Slug series and this sounds somewhat interesting at the very least. Although some out there saying the game isn't worth the price tag has me a bit hesitant.
A good 2-D action game is always a welcome thing as long as it's done well.
I think it's really because of the audience the Wii calls home. Time and time again they have shown they are perfectly willing to buy the tons and tons of shovelware for the system and when the shovelware is cheap to make and turns a profit why do anything else?
Quite simply the Wii got put into a bad place. That's not to say there aren't those out there trying to change that because we still have great games like Muramasa, No more Hero's 2 Metroid other M, New Super Mario Bros W...
Wow. All i can say was what the hell were they thinking when they made that game? It looks retarded. I'm sure it was a funny idea or something at the time but wow just wow.
Great review. I do have to say the game looks fun but the visual style of the Wii version greatly turns me off of wanting to play it. I do plan on playing the 360 or PS3 version at some point though. The fact that the game is not a cheap cash in is a great thing since the Wii sees far to many games that aim to be nothing more then that.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks a Pokemon MMO is a good idea. I mean really the whole concept behind the game kinda lends itself to being a MMO in the first place and if done right it could be a hell of a game.
The rest of the list is pretty good to although I dont know about StarCraft. Something tells me if that were to happen it would basically just be WoW with Starcraft characters which would feel pretty cheap and not really fit all that well.
I wonder if the New Super Mario Bros for Wii will be a good. Hopefully that can fill the void from not having enough good platforming games around these days.
I think it somewhat sad that we don't see that many games focusing entirely on platforming elements anymore. There are just times when you wanna jump around and have some fun in a game like that and while many games have aspects like that in them it's not the same when you have to do many other things in between. Perhaps it's just something lost on today's audience in the games industry.
The Unreal Engine is most likely whats causing them to much trouble to bother with the PS3 version. The engine alone is what caused the vast majority of the issues people complained about in the game like the horrid slow down and what not.
Why any one still uses the engine is beyond me. However it really makes me wonder why they were so dead set on saying Last Remnant was a game for the world on PS3 360 and all that if it would never happen.
The giant Peripherals are the ones that always get me. I wonder why people are always buying rock back and guitar hero when they are not only expensive but they take up a ton of room and you can only play one game with them. Sure the sequel will work with them but then what if you didn't like the game? Then you are out of luck and the resale value is probably not even remotely close to what you paid for the over priced thing in the first place.
DLC on the disc is another big ann...
Personally I think this is the greatest PoP game of all time maybe baring the original game that started it all in the first place. However the rest of the trilogy that followed kind of fell apart which is really unfortunate.
For it's time this game was a beautiful masterpiece.
good call although I don't think you would be able to see everything in the game as the review says there is a massive amount of content there. But you could always just play until you get board.
Yeah thats still the main problem in the series. Planning stuff out is fun and then you get into the fight and you fingers are killing you because of smashing the X button all day. They really need to work on the combat and make it deeper even if only a little.
GENIUS!!!! I would LOVE to have that. it would make the game so much more realistic. Although there is other work needed in that area as well like loosing the cheesy rock soundtrack entirely which they are kinda doing slowly.
The thing that gets me is they could do something epic with the series but they don't they just seem to keep rehashing it instead of reinventing it or rebooting it which would be the better idea in my opinion.
not J-RPG not maybe CRPG? iono It's not really a RPG even though there is a bit of leveling up there really is no RPG elements in it. More like button mashing and strategy elements.
why does Mario always have to be number 1. Why? I mean common I know he is a whore and makes alot of money but common move over and make some room.
Looks great can't wait to get my hands on it.
Twice the fun at half the price? Hard to beat that logic.
