I act with my money, and I have certainly gotten my moneys worth out of my 360. XBLA is fantastic, and IMO, the games are just as important as disc based games. I love all the options availible to me, from games to apps and everything in between.
BTW A company is considered a single entity; hence, Microsoft is, not Microsoft are.
All my 360 needs now is a N4G app, and I would would never have to use my crappy PC ever again.
I think the 360 is an awesome machine, and it keeps getting better, every year of the 5 years I have owned one.
I am not upset by any means, and I consider all most all opinions relevent. I was really just remarking upon what I perceive to be a common theme between two websites, and not so much about the review itself. I should have made that clear in my first comment. Thanks for the replies, and the dissent.
Sometimes I cant tell the difference between destructoid and gamesradar. Both sites strike me as 2 of the most fickle gaming websites I have ever had the misfortune of visiting.
I haves played through twice, and it is my GOTY, thus far.
I loved the ending, I thought it fit.
Valve games have given me more total hours of gaming happiness than any other developer, ever. I greatly look forward to the continuation of the Gordon Freeman saga,
And pausing to bring up a radial wheel is the ultimate in immersive gameplay? I know if I was a real Commander Shepherd, I would be barking out my commands, and not stopping time to do so. However, we all have our own definition of immersion, and that is cool with me.
It's not one way or the other, it is designed to augment our experience. If you do not want your experience augmented, that is cool; however, I am excited. I disdain pausing a game in the heat of battle to change weapons, or order my squad into action. If it works as advertised, I will be using it to supplement my gaming experience throughout my many playthroughs of ME3. Sometimes the Kinect detractors remind me of that commercial about the kid who doesn't want more money. Kinect inte...
Your account is set to renew to what ever your subscription is, IE family, yearly, monthly etc. If a person is not smart enough to realize they need to downgrade their membership, if they don't want to continue being billed, then maybe that person should not be in a decision making position.
yeah, if any of you think you can replace a loved one with a console, then maybe a paradigm shift in thinking is long over due.
Your criteria for excellence apparently is much different than mine.
I am a 360 gamer who loves Valve.
I understand your opinion; however, The fact you list pushstart, and destructoid as credible sources really does not help your argument.(IMO, of course)
I agree it is great. I have enjoyed all the apps I have tried, except SyFy (very limited content). There is so much to do on my 360 besides gaming, that sometimes, it is hard to believe it is the same device I fell in "strong like" with in 2007.
MS has done well just carving a place for itself in the platform holder arena. Actually, I think it is great that all the consoles have done so well this generation. I am just personally glad that there are other viable option rather than just Sony and Nintendo. I have been treated great by MS, and consider the money I have spent (and will spend in the future) to be pleasure expenses, and well worth it to me and my son's.
Why should I be upset? As far as I am concerned the Video Game Awards have as much credibility as a crack ho'. I refuse to watch the VGA's, since I do not feel it is a program I can watch with my kids. I love my 360 and look forward to playing all the great games that are on it now, and in the future. I really do not understand the stance that somehow 360 owners are being shortchanged. \
You can't forget personal preference as a legitimate reason for owning/not owning a system.
Popular feature? Who knew?

I am a core 360 user and I have never been happier with my console. However, thx for the almost sympathy :D
