Well said. I was thinking of DLC for games like Gears, Bordelands
Fallout, not costumes, and things of that nature. Forgive the tunnel vision.

How is something that is a choice milking a consumer?

Well you know darkness always follows the Sun....darkness darkness everybody... :-)

Halo is awesome, it could be in minecraft graphics, and it would still be awesome.
343 has Corrinne Yu at the helm of the Halo 4 engine, and just knowing she is involved, fills me with, probably, unreasonable expectations. If Halo 4 looks like it does on the 360, Halo 5, IMO is going to be a potential benchmark for next generation consoles.

Look her up she is worth knowing about.

Maybe the first Xbox is actually the Xbox 180. :)

Nice work, way to channel your inner Douglas Adams.

Sound cool, I cant wait to see more information on Fuse. Resistance was one of the few PS3 games I was slightly envious that it wasn't multiplatform

If you think 2$ for 45 skins is expensive, then there is zero I can say to you, that would make a difference. However, I don't mind giving 4j, Mojang my money for such an awesome game.
I bet DayZ would do great on XBLA.

So, you are happy to find someone else that`s as callous, and unfeeling, as your comment frames you to be?

Oh, Shadow of the Beast, Out of This World, It Came from the Desert, and anything by Bitmap Brothers, how I remember you all so fondly. CBM, oh how I still despise thee. And can we ever forget the Video Toaster? My Amiga used to make me laugh at console gamers. I also loved the 80's, poking and peeking on the C64.. good times. Although I loved those days of my youth, I must say gaming in my middle age is pretty darn awesome, as well.

Forums are always filled with those most likely to fuss and moan, and its been that way since the BBS days.

I disliked Steam from the moment of its inception. I do however love Valve and the games it has created.

Gabe doesnt mind having the closed system in Steam, which I consider the best application of DRM in PC gaming. IMO Apple and MS would love to be the last 2 standing (which I hope does not happen).

As much as I truly loathe Sony, I would not want it to fail. Competition, when fair, is always a good thing for the consumer.

Actually, as a free member you have access to any, and all, of your purchased content.

I agree.
Since I can't fairly judge PSN, due to a pre-existing condition of Sonyophobia, I can only speak to the merits of XBL, of which there are plenty, but this article fills me with a pervading sense of Deja vu, so I will just leave it at that.

XBL potentially shows that some humans will pay for a service if they find it to have value; concordantly, PSN+ potentially shows that some humans will pay for a service if they are bribed.
In the five years that I have been a 360 owner, MS has steadily upgraded, and added to the service. In fact, my 360 is my gaming, entertainment, and now, thanks to the beta, primary method of accessing the internet. Since I am a member of the family plan, I pay, a paltry,
99$ per year f...

The U.S. may not equal the world in total population, but it is impossible to deny we are, by far, the largest market.
