I cannot say I expected anything less from you. Do you think those exclusive deals Sony gets from Activision are free? Am guessing you do? Sony can be spending 10s if not 100s of millions on advertising/marketing and the COD deal. Even if GOWR costed over 200M to make, the game selling 11M at full price will bring in more profits for Sony than a single COD game, hell I will even argue, more money than all of Activision games based of their own reports.
At best, based on Act...
I had made a comment about how a game like GOWR would have made more money for Sony than COD, using the 70/30 split and got down voted to hell. Now we are learning from regulators Sony takes a 'discounted margin' on Call of Duty sales/earnings on PlayStation, gives Activision larger revenue cut, UK regulators at the CMA have found.
@Extermin8or3_
Seriously, I get that you have to make up lies, but the amount you claim GOWR costed to make, would effectively make it one of the most expensive, if not the most expensive video game ever made. 🤣😂🤣 28514;🤣. Now that is a lie worth laughing at
I actually love how, some people are quick to point out Sony has to fund GOW, yet are ignorant to the fact that, Sony literally has to pay for exclusive rights and content for COD. Do you guys think they are free? Sony also spends money advertising COD with their systems. But we can ignore those too. At the end of the day the information I provided is from Activision themselves, which includes all these games, key word ALL their games. You literally need to combine all their games for Sony to...
@Asplundh
You guys really need to take a second to actually look at what Activision gets from Playstation. Keep in mind this is for all Activision games, not just COD, all Activision games
The totals for 2021's revenues from customers, for example, were as follows:
Apple - $1.496 bn
Google - $1.496 bn
Sony - $1.320 bn
Microsoft - <$880 m
Total - $5,192 from top customers (does not include Nintendo, or re...
Actually that is mostly false. I will bet GOWR made more money for Sony than COD and here is why. Even if COD sold over 13M on Playstation alone, Sony is only getting at best 30%, less if they have a special deal with Activision. Let's say 13M at $70, would get you 910M, 30% that is $273M. Whiles 11M at $70 gets you $770M. Even if GOWR costed Sony $300M, they would still have well over $400M.
You should also factor in, the huge amounts of cash Sony pays to Activision fo...
Anyone with a brain knew this. Phil coming out and saying GP leads to more sales was questionable at best.
It will no longer be his problem, MS will have to be the one that takes on all these problems
That will be the biggest waste of money for MS, and would actually benefit Sony. I believe Activision makes about $1.5-$2 billion a year from Playstation. Most PS gamer will not switch to Xbox for COD, even the survey done by the CMA in UK shows, an estimated 24% will be willing to make the change. MS will not make back the amount of money they spend to warrant them paying that much for 1 single game. This will in turn decrease the sales and user base of COD significantly, giving other games ...
Yeah, story is working well with gameplay. Too hard for you to understand. Look, I get that stupidity and ignorance is your MO. The fact that you didn't know Neil is the writer is all that anyone needs to know about you. Neil literally had this idea whiles in college. Care to guess why he is literally and I mean literally listed as the writer?
We get it fox, it hurts to know Neil is the writer and the reason the game to exist to begin with. But here is the reality, fact...
You and your ilk are sad
The usual Last of haters are not far behind to spread their lies. Neil was the writer and the one that cane up with the game. Bruce was in charge of gameplay. The studio was given credit, if he didn't work on the show and isn't the writer, HBO would see no reason to mention him. And if he had grounds to stand on, he would take legal action. If he doesn't, that just highlights who the writer was. The usual triggered snowflakes are always entertaining to watch, as they make up stor...
@Orchard
Just means they are getting what they want. If MS is very confident or don't want this to drag on longer, they will not settle, but if they do, it means they FTC can have them agree to things to their demands. Disney was allowed to buy Fox, but under conditions and MS is going to have to do the same. It will be very entertaining if it's a bad as what Disney had to agree to.
I am guessing you didn't know TLOU part 2, got over 100 players choice awards. You and your ilk are some funny people
Bingo. Gamers like to use awards when it fits their narrative, yet the second a game they dislike wins, well you know the rest.
I also belive ER will get awards from outlets that never got to review TLOU part 2 due to them being an Xbox or PC centric site and TLOU part 2 nit being available on those platforms
Actually it does make sense. For one Sony isn't buying 2 large publishers with numerous IPs, studios and thousands of employees. But guess who is?
Second people had no issue when MS was buying individual studios. Should we pretend they didn't announce the acquisition of numerous studios during one of their E3 events? There is a difference between a studio and a publisher.
And yes, Sony actually can afford Activision if they were desperate enough...
Those IPs were not doing good, that is why they were sold for literally cheap. I am also sure Sony would be far more interested in Final fantasy, kingdom hearts and Dragan quest than Hitman or even Tomb raider, especially with them having Uncharted that seems to sell more.
@loxim
What type of world do you live in? Exactly what exclusives have MS paid for that Sony has lost their minds on? The Xbox line up this year, has been filled with majority 3rd party exclusives. Which of them is Sony losing their minds on? MS literally had to lie about Sony blocking Bloodborne, an IP that Sony's owns, co-developed and approached FromSoftware about. Sony's issues has been MS buying publishers
@Orchard
Seriously, your level of ignorance and inability to understand basic reading comprehension is amazing. Seriously what has Sony said that has disapproved the facts I provided from Activision's 2021 financial reports? Exactly 0. Sony not liking this deal doesn't in any way shape or form negate how much Activision makes from Playstation
Also, my math is off, I just shows you are not very good at accepting reality. The numbers I gave you, abo...

I am very curious as to why you keep spreading lies. I get that it might be a way for you to deal with reality, but you can try to make it less obvious. GTA5 is said to be one of the most expensive video games ever made if not the most expensive and that was at $260M. Even if we believe this lie of yours, GOWR selling, 11M at 60 still leaves Sony with over $300M. Should we leave out, the 10s, if not 100s of Millions Sony spends on these deals?
