I really don't think you understand the impact of Capcom and Square being bought by PS, if that was to ever happen. The impact will be far worse than CoD leaving PS. For 1 Activision makes far more on Playstation, say if MS ever decides to make it exclusive, the will lead to a major decline for COD, not just in popularity, but in sales as well. It will literally lead to less sales for COD. Capcom is one of the few major Japanese devs, that actually releases their top games on Xbox. MS has...
Microsoft needs Xbox + Bethesda + Activision to match Sony, and the sad thing is, Sony seems to be able to actually do more with less studios. In the event that Sony's goes after Square/Capcom, it will be extremely difficult for MS to catch up to Sony, unless they decide to buy another publisher, but at that point regulators will more than likely kill the deal
Yes, I mean no
MS is so ilk informed and desperate they literally had to list Bloodborne. Sony Computer Entertainment approached FromSoftware concerning cooperative development on a title, and director Hidetaka Miyazaki asked about the possibility of developing a game for eighth-generation consoles. Bloodborne was born. MS is really saying Sony blocked a game they approached FromSoftware about and co-developed the game with them from Xbox? This here is beyond stupid.
@Orchard
Seriously were you born recently? You do know both PS+ and PS Now have all existed long before GamePass right? Maybe in whatever world you come from GP came first. But combining two existing services into 3 tiers (Which GP doesn't have) is not copying GP
They will not. Sony literally has the funds to buy numerous publishers if they were as desperate as MS. Sony authorized to spend $18 billion on investments. Can you guess how many publishers they can buy with that? Bethesda, Capcom, Square, Sega, Kadokawa, Bandai Namco, and more are all worth less than $18B.
And if Sony was truly truly desperate, they can raise funds to buy Ubisoft, EA, Activision or T2. (Example, Take 2 was worth about $14B, yet they were able to sell asse...
@MadLad
Would you like to make a bet COD sales will decrease, especially on Xbox when it goes to GP?
Are you seriously new?
@Asplundh
Jim came out to clarify what MS said by several. MS has yet to say he is lying. Jim even spoke about how he thought this was a private matter, until MS made it public, so they have to clarify things

@The3faces
I guess you must be living under a rock, at best Jim has given 2-3 interviews, one in response to MS comment on offering several years. Since you live under a rock, I will say you have not been on Twitter to see, several MS executives tweeting numerous times on this deal, one even complaining about Sony being quite or not coming to the negotiating table.
We can also pretend the CEO and the president of MS, Phil have not given numerous interview...
And regulators clearly don't trust MS. Care to guess why they offered Sony 3 years, then increased it to 10 after it was rejected. I also love how MS has a huge PR campaign going on social media, Sony being silent has really made them very unhappy.
Also let's be realistic, MS has no choice but to release on steam, especially if they ever choose to go exclusive at some point. Their own store cannot compete with steam and most steam users will not leave for any of the...
Bingo. Wasn't there a lawsuit that claimed part of this Acquisition was meant to protect the higher ups from legal action? If that is ture, it will make a lot more sense why they want to fight so hard for this and they get a big pay check too.
Yes, am sure regulators will be happy seeing MS buying 3+ publishers back to back to back. You and your ilk are s misinformed you lot just keep pushing this false Xbox fanboys narrative....and it just shows a very high level of ignorance. Plus how fun would it be if they try to buy a Japanese company and get laughed out of the room?
But that is literally and I mean literally one of the advantages of using Android or An Apple device. It's the default store, maybe a few would not use the store and try to have download from their site, but a significant amount of app will be through the app store and your casual person will always go to the store 1st.
Activision said that is a false claim. Also I don't see why they would even pay Activision, literally most phones uses Android and they have a huge market share
Can't say if this true, but there is one thing I am sure of, Kotick and upper management will definitely negotiate with MS for the best possible deal for themselves and will not be shocked if they left after the acquisition without be held accountable and when get huge sums of cash.
You and your ilk are so ill informed it's laughable.
Bingo
I find it interesting MS wants to let the world know they are growing, but don't want to say/show actual lonumbers that will show just how much they have grown.
Microsoft: PC Game Pass Subscribers Grew 159% ok, from what?
Those deals are legally binding. MS will be fighting a losing battle if they cancel the agreement. In addition to them possibly paying Sony 100s of millions if not billions in damages, the PR nightmare will be bad for MS. Plus depending on the situation, MS can be forced to honor the deal. They are not honoring the deal because they want to, they are doing it because they have to.
Plus this is something the little any company including MS that pay for exclusive rights to ga...
@Orchard
Also, you seriously need to get your facts right:
The totals for 2021's revenues from customers, for example, were as follows:
Apple - $1.496 bn
Google - $1.496 bn
Sony - $1.320 bn
Microsoft - <$880 m
Total - $5,192 from top customers (does not include Nintendo, or retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, etc)
So we know that Activision made $1.320 billion from Sony in 2021. That's after t...
