Shame, because regardless of your console of preference we all have one enemy, or even if you are a PC type of person, we hate the pirate.
Got his work cut out because the original games were generic shooters.
The prices are in dollars, is this America only?
Seems strange given that America is not GT's domain. Nice clothes though, I would still have liked the white GT logo to have been more discreet on that first jacket. A smaller one on the back just below the neckline would have been really classy design move, and perhaps a black one on one of the breast pockets.
Overall though, those designs are certainly not tacky! Really stylish actually and considering m...
Jack Meahoffer, the only person who got bad PR from this was Geo. Sony were never expected to lose the case in the eyes of the law, and most gamers and non-gamers alike will see that Sony managed to tie down someone indirectly related to creation of piracy on an electronic device.
This is not bad PR for Sony, it is seen as victory by every company and every honest, hard working and paying customer.
If you guys are looking for stop gap I recommend X3, it is a graphical wonder and has a fairly complex fighting and economics engine, but only has about 150 sectos. But that is enough to lose hours and hours as you build your empire.
Ah right, so this is what he means by "taking a nap". As you say it appears production has stopped but the game is not cancelled, which kind of ties in with the article here.
Wasn't that a Wii game?
Nah, it is poor build quality from China people. Look at the PS3, its major problem is that the heatsink paste was not applied properly.
Inflation means that TVs were more expensive to build compared to sale value due to a smaller market target so that is not the excuse.
The problem really is China and the companies really need to sort it out. There is no point saying it is technology, just because they have more features should not mean they will fail quicke...
Well lets be honest, electronic devices are considered in line with normal failure rates of 2%.
iPod, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, iPhone, HTC Desire all fail this normal failure rate for electronics.
It is becoming more common not in only consoles but across the wider spectrum of electronic devices. It something that the electronic industry needs to tackle and I suspect the problem is China.
Remember the days when a TV lasted 30 years? Made in the W...
Look.... as much as it would hurt some people in game advertising is the way to go, but it would have be done in context of the game or people would avoid it like a rabbid dog!
I can only give one example where it would work and most gamers would still love to own the game and actually appreciate the advertising inside.
BladeRunner.
If they made a next gen game of that movie or spin off, it would NOT be Bladerunner without giant digital billb...
I don't know, consoles have always had piracy and smaller install base than PC.
It is a childish argument though.
Would still prefer google created an email manager for the PS3. Can't complain about Chrome though but I am on the bench of validity of this coming to PS3.
Not a very good list. If we are talking about level of fame then the Top 5 would consist only of football players.
5. Steven Garrard
4. Wayne Rooney
3. Lionel Messi
2. Cristiano Ronaldo
1. David Beckham (unfortunately)
These 5 people are more famous than Tom Cruise, or Barrack Obama, or Queen Elizabeth herself.
The fact is that in Africa, Asia, South America, North America and Europe these 5 people are known. ...
I can't see this making an impact, what if they went to the stores the next day?
This protest does not sound like Anon anyway, from the little I admit I have heard about them, a boycott would last longer than one day.
Do we remember what happened with the one day boycott of petrol and diesel? Thats correct, the prices were double in price at the point that the boycott took place just 12 months later.
@logic Hmmm.... I guess in the most technical sense possible you are right, but come on, we both know he is talking about the senior management. XD
Shaman doesn't know business. Any company that does not fear a rival will fall. Microsoft may be the biggest OS manufacturer but they are not stupid enough to not fear Apple. Just an example that more than anything else.
All the console makers fear their competitors, it keeps them on their toes and striving to improve themselves. I am not sure this author is living on the same planet as everybody else.

I am not entirely convinced this is going to hurt Sony at all, because of the way business works. I am led to believe that all devs get their money from the stores selling the games?
Also, I am confused by Sony's court case. Why not bring him up on the WIPO regulations that state...

We are talking about a hypothetical scenario where every console company that gets subjected to hacker abuse leaves the gaming industry.
As all 3 console companies have been subjected to hacking and are struggling to contain it, the OP's statement said they should leave the field. As all 3 fall under this, all 3 would leave the field leaving no console industry.
Any new company entering the field would thus get hacked and then...
Oh damn! He just jinxed it!
