Crysis 1 wasn't with absolute freedom, neither was Warhead. It was just a different type of environment, larger in scale. You still couldn't go wherever you wanted to. But I agree to the context, I don't want another urban environment because it's too restrictive.
They shouldn't have shelved it. Bulletstorm is one of those games that you can just laugh about while playing it. Definitely not a lot of those around anymore. I still have it on my PC and play it on a regular basis when I need a break from BF3.
What do you want to bet Activision will not allow it since Call of Duty comes out every year, and a 2 year span for Treyarch isn't enough to build a better engine from scratch. Maybe they should use UE3. It's definitely a huge step up from the current engine.
bože budala.
Aw shucks, and I wanted to go through the game once more with DX11 features while not performing like crap.
Wasn't it supposed to fix performance for single card users as well?
This actually looks good. This might be the first spidey game I play after Spiderman 2.
On a similar subject: Gears of War 2 and 3 on PC, NOW!
If this is the case I believe we will have two outstanding games to play. Mafia devs know how to pull off an excellent atmosphere, while GTA always was about free roaming and having a blast.
I'm actually glad they announced this. The first game was refreshing in it's singleplayer, orienting on the soldier's story and companionship except "'splosions and invasions and shit" CoD does.. I didn't like the multiplayer much simply because I have BC2 and they felt, looked and played the same, but Battlefield is Battlefield.
Here's to hoping the next MoH won't be another Battlefield in disguise.
@Baodeus
That's exactly the reason why PS3 exclusives look as awesome as they do. Developers stated (Santa Monica for one..) that they COULD do native 1080p games, but that 720p allowed them to polish and add to the graphics even more.
On topic - I wasn't even that impressed with Skyrim (played it on my PC). It could have been a very interesting and good game for me if it wasn't for the technical failures which this game has plenty of (stiff and ...
I didn't get rid of it. I had two and they both died (YLOD)
God damn it now I have to get a PS3 again..
I was just about to say that :)
Plus, their PC developing skills are.. how should I put it gently.. Horrible?
It could be MGS4 for the 360, who knows.
Supposedly only a HD7970 can run this game @ 60fps on 1080p. Just saying.. It doesn't seem to be that optimized..
Meh, I still have BC2 to play :)
Exactly. Take Batman Arkham Asylum/City for example. No multiplayer, a ton of focus on singleplayer and what do you get? A critically acclaimed game people will play over and over and over again because it's simply a masterpiece in every aspect. Metro 2033, Bioshock 1 fall in the same category. Hell, even Mafia 2.
The only way I would even consider getting this is if they fix the fucking performance of the last 2 fucked up call of duty games on PC. Black Ops ran like shit for everyone except i5/i7 users, as does MW3 from what I've seen. Man the fuck up and give the PC community the product it deserves.
My two cents.
