As a matter of fact I have played Hot Pursuit and High Stakes (one of those two had a cheat code for a helicopter, High Stakes I think) on PS1 as well as Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2, I was just too young back then to remember with certainty now.
On the other hand I distinctly remember that if you get a heat level 3 pursuit going on in Most Wanted, you're gonna be in it for a long time.
What the hell is it with reviewers slamming good games lately? Most Wanted fixes the stiffness of Hot Pursuit's car handling, and although cops can sometimes be tedious - they always were, ever since the first Most Wanted.
The only problem I have with it is that it seems the PC version wasn't optimized quite well. Other than that it's the most fun I had in racing games since Burnout Paradise.
It's a damn good thing it's like Burnout because Burnout games were always fun. I do miss the Burnout Paradise crashes, licensed cars mean you can't wreck them to that degree :/
I'm playing Hot Pursuit now and it's damn FUN. I don't care about customization that much. It takes too bloody long anyways, you spend more time customizing than racing. Plus, Criterion knows how to make racing excellent. Have faith in them.

So I wasn't far off.. Anyways, Nuketown some years after a nuclear detonation would be cool. Sort of a post-apocalyptic Nuketown..
Except it's not. It's actually a good game.
And everyone quickly dying because of radiation within the first five minutes.. Wouldn't work.
So far the game is good (singleplayer, haven't played multiplayer yet). THIS IS WHAT BATTLEFIELD 3 SHOULD HAVE FELT LIKE. The weapons feel brutal (the AK - holy fuck!) and look awesome. The graphics are phenomenal and style wise it blows BF3 out of the water (Battlefield 3 feels.. inconsistent, I don't have a better word for that). The gameplay is the perfect pace and whoever says this game is like every other shooter out there is wrong because they're probably skipping every cuts...
Battlefield 3 was all about setpieces and it had no aspect of connectivity with the character, which is exactly what I felt in MOH 2010. I haven't played Warfighter yet, but I sure as hell am going to because, to me, it may not look different then the rest of the FPS shooters out there, but it sure as hell feels different, as did MoH2010.
Maybe when they get an extremely low budget for the next RE game their creativity will kick in.

There's the trailer for your viewing pleasure.
It looks very good.
Check out the trailer and you'll see why I'm saying it's Slightly Mad ;)
They dropped the ball after Carbon handling wise. The cars felt like tanks. Don't you remember Undercover? Pro street?
After seeing the gameplay trailer of that particular mission, it seems like it really isn't BlackBox but Slightly Mad Studios instead. Which is a very good thing.
Hope to god it isn't the BlackBox studio helping. Their car handling is crap.
Except we got some new ones as well (well, BC1 remakes, but excellent maps none the less). And I don't remember second hand buyers (me at first) getting Laguna Alta, Nelson Bay, Cold War, Heavy Metal etc.
My gripe is that they should give out content to the non premium users as well. Remember BC2 and it's VIP map packs? How many of them were there, 7,8? All free? Yup.
I also want something that would freshen up the game for me.
This is the beginning of the end for Resident Evil.
Ugh, the field of view is too cumbersome.
Having played Chaos Theory recently, I must say that Splinter Cell got waaaaaaaay too simple and easy with Conviction. I still enjoyed Conviction, but it was dumbed down to hell and back.
I'll get it once it's on Steam. Should be soon enough. All the other downloads are painfully slow.
My PC is ready and disappointed.
