Personally I'd rather they work the bugs out of the firmware. The cat is out of the bag with this thing, they might as well understand it before risking the stability of their operating system to try to block it.
Jailbreak users should be blocked from PSN. Good to hear.
Are we sure the PS3 jailbreak is illegal? Who has been arrested for using it?
Now the trick is forcing people to update. Anyone who wants to use the jailbreak simply won't update. Just like with the PSP and just like with the iPod.
I have high hopes for this game. I spent a ton of time with the original on my SNES.
Pure semantics. It still works.
The video showed some awesome stuff coming. Man I love to see new games.
Renting could satisfy every one of those bullet points. None of them justifies stealing. None of them is a suitable reason for downloading games and not paying to play them.
Until recently I was primarily a PC user. I don't really play PC games. But I now have a MacBook Pro and for general computing I don't ever want to go back to Windows. I've become so accustomed to the gestures on the Mac that I'm practically illiterate when I fire up my Dell laptop.
There are a lot of people wondering what the purpose of Bootcamp is. The ability to have a facility to run multiple operating systems built-in is a huge plus. Personally I don'...
Oh, look. Another Amazon sales rank post. Who's winning the war now?
The problem isn't the reviews themselves. Every idiot is entitled to their opinion. The problem is the people who blindly look at the numbers and form an opinion about the game. Also, the idiots who think anything below this mystical 9 out of 10 threshold means that a game is bad.
I remember a time before the glut of video game media when people could think for themselves and were willing to take a chance on a game that may have a few flaws. Some of the best games I ever...
Oh, man. There's no way that this game could be any fun, right? I mean at that resolution there's absolutely no way that a person could have any fun playing the game.
Why do we still argue over stuff like this?
People complain about the 360's d-pad. Microsoft listens and redesigns it. People complain about the 360's d-pad.

I quit paying for Live years ago because it wasn't worth it to me then. It's less worth it to me now. There's no way Microsoft will ever allow free online pay. Their Xbox Live revenue would probably drop 95% instantly.
Very little competition between the two, IMO. Both are going to blow the charts away.
Lots of November goodness!
I will buy this. Love the "out of the box" thinking!
Well, there are a couple of things to consider here.
Did requiring the latest firmware to play new games stop piracy on the PSP? Using the pandora battery people figured out how to reverse-engineer official firmware updates and customize them to allow the newest games to work. Someone will be trying to figure out how to do that with this jailbreak hack, too. If that's the case shipping the newest firmware on game discs isn't going to do much good.
An...
Unless they figure out how to reverse-engineer the firmware releases. The PSP does firmware checks against the games and demands an update before playing. But because Sony puts their firmware updates on the web for general download the crackers are able to get the lastest firmware and crack it, causing the forced install model to break.
I'm not a fan of the hack, but I think that Sony has a long road ahead of themselves fighting this thing. It's certainly not a situat...
