You don't remember practically all of 2006? And the big November banning parties that Microsoft holds every year?
There aren't many articles about 360 piracy because it is no longer news.
Same.
MMO's are a risky proposition, anyway. Games like Warcraft and Starcraft are the exception, and only a few games can actually get people to pay to play.
Now how come I see all kinds of people making fun of poor Skittles, but the psychotic monkey thing gets a pass? I guess because the psychotic monkey thing is somewhat terrifying.
It's probably cheaper and faster to produce the adapter. Emulating the CPU and GPU of the PS2 is probably much more difficult than people expect, and with the sheer number of titles available the emulation would probably be limited at best. But using the actual hardware there is no need to emulate, likely guaranteeing maximum compatibility.
PS2 BC wasn't cut because people wanted a cheaper device. That's a very naive point of view, in my opinion. That may have been part of it, but the main reason BC was cut to prolong the life of the PS2, since that was the only platform making money for Sony at the time.
Look where we are today. PS2 sales are plummeting as PS3 adoption grows. It's no longer the cash cow it was a couple of years ago. So creating this adapter is a way to continue to generate profit fr...
Good review.
I just hope it's a good game. Sega dropped the ball on pretty much everything Sonic a long time ago.
There are two sides to every coin. Sure, publishers and developers don't get a piece of used game sales. But a lot of people trade their old games to be able to purchase brand new copies of new releases. So in that case used games subsidize often overpriced new games, and developers and publishers do get money from that.
Used games are an important part of the video game economy, and without them I bet we'd see new game sales decrease as people wait for prices to drop...
Ten thousand people really isn't that many, all things considered.
The game's probably going to sell close to a million copies in the coming weeks, and this is a very small percentage of the people with it. I bet it doubles or triples that number in the next day leading up to official launch.
A lot of online retailers ship before street date to guarantee release date availability, and some stores sell it early either on purpose or by accident.
All of the reviews aren't even in yet. Can they see the future?
It's good to see a franchise that has engrossed so many people for a decade get a good finale from the team that created it. Although Halo hasn't been my favorite type of game I can give credit where credit is due.
It's good that everything is being made even. I wonder if anything is going to happen to people who were playing pirated or stolen pre-release copies? I'm surprised we're not seeing articles about console bans.
My guess is someone will make some other game.
No, the only reason Sony continues to support the PS2 is because it is was making money for them when the PS3 was burning through cash and was being outsold by the PS2 2:1.
Removal of PS2 BC from the PS3 was done to keep the PS2 alive and generating cash, not to reduce production costs of the PS3. But people believed the BS marketing line Sony was putting out there.
Even though you agree with the original post, it's still trolling. I get so tired of all of the arguing. Personal preference is never fact.
I see what you did there.
I know I play it wrong. I've had it since January and I've only played it for about 3 hours. Not playing at all is definitely the wrong thing to do.
This is the first one that makes sense. Simple and direct.
Apathy is exactly what the hackers want from you.
