I guess Kotaku discovered how to tick off the PS3 legion. I wouldn't read too much into it at this point. I'm sure Polyphony is working on optimizing the game.
If it was easy then anyone could do it.
Horribly written article, absolutely atrocious spelling and grammar. But excellent point. If you use Blu-ray's advanced features then the PS3 is still an excellent value for a Blu-ray player. You can get cheaper players, but you get what you pay for.
As talented as Naughty Dog is I'd like to see them branch out and make different kinds of games. If they can create new franchises that are as awesome as Uncharted then Sony is going to build unstoppable momentum. It's very exciting!
I didn't think I would, but I'm getting excited for this game. I'm looking forward to it now that I hear it has finally has a good sense of speed. The last GT I played was GT 3 and the initial cars you started out with were slow and boring and I couldn't get into it.
I like the idea of including NASCAR as well. NASCAR racing is all about action and not just pure driving simulation, so that gives me hope that there's some heart-pounding racing in this titl...
The silly things we find to argue about. I can't wait for the game to release so that people will quit arguing over whether the game can be delayed if no release date was formally set.
How is gaming on a Mac different from gaming on a Windows PC? Are the games somehow not the same?
Perhaps it's a geographic thing and you're closer to the servers than others? I don't know. I don't get it either.
No need to be abrasive. I wasn't forced to do anything, and at no time did I say that I was. I could have simply just shut it off and not played games at all, but what would be the point in that?
I won't drop to your level of personal attack. I will answer by saying that I think it's a poor user experience to even have to flip the channel and watch TV while my PS3 updates for half an hour. And if you'd bothered to read my entire post you'd see where I set ...
Not dissing the PS3, but there's some merit to what the author is saying. I've felt the same way. I hadn't played LittleBigPlanet for a few months and when I put it in to play I had to sit through a mandatory system update and 4 (yeah, 4) software updates. The last one can't include all of the previous updates. Nope, I have to sit through all of them individually.
It isn't like this every time. But when it is it sucks. Downloads over PSN are slow. And no, ...
Do they support the war in Afghanistan? Why, did they pick up weapons and fight alongside the soldiers there?
Look, every time someone in media tries to correlate video games with anything bad people get their knickers in a twist and start spouting off about their ability to tell fantasy from reality. Happens all the time. So you can't complain about a band's music showing up in a video game and saying they support a war that the game might be based on if video games ...
Seeing all of those consoles listed like that made me nostalgia so hard! Especially the SNES. I remember wishing that the controllers with the multi-colored buttons would be released in North America. Too bad they weren't.
I don't really care which one sold the most games. I've played them all and I've loved them all. Good job to Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft! And a shout out to those who came before...Atari, Mattel, Coleco, Magnavox, Sega, NEC...someone had to...
Can we just go ahead and get the complaining about the next Call of Duty out of the way before it releases so we don't have to spend months hearing the complaints after it releases?
A pretty interesting article with some really interesting opinion in it. Personally I don't think that Sony will be able to wait until 2014 to launch a new system, but I could be wrong. I think that people are taking the 10 year lifecycle too literally. The PS2 has had a 10 year lifecycle as well, but I don't think it could have held out as the only Sony console for 10 whole years.
The PS3 stands a better chance, but in reality technology begins to become obsolete as...
In 10 years it will be funny to go back and read that.
Something tells me that after the last 4 years this loss probably doesn't really hurt that much.
I'm shocked, SHOCKED! that playstationuniversity.com thinks that Kinect will fail. I never would have seen that coming.
Are we still talking about this? I bought it. Paid $25. I like it.
Sorry if nobody else does.
I'm pretty sure that Sony has their own lawyers on staff.
In-game items are not tangible, but I digress. I think I understand the author's sentiment. I'm just not sure that I agree. I don't see how the inclusion of trophies, or achievements for that matter, have any effect on whether a developer chooses to include in-game rewards or cheats in their games.
I think that the biggest contributor to whether or there are in-game rewards is this micro-transaction DLC model that Microsoft and Sony have been working so hard to i...
