lol yeah I have a mate who hated the lack of holstering in it. That was a minor thing I completely missed until it was pointed out.
Was there anything positive you found in ME3? Just curious as what you mentioned about the first two I mostly agree with.
ME1: Best plot, gameplay (loved traversing planets in the mako), best method of material gathering. Difficulty settings were great.
ME2: Improved the combat a bit, new characters were great, great missions although had they been part of the original's planet traversing would be better.

I loved my Master System as much as my Megadrive. Using sales figures isn't really something you can use if you're wanting to analyse quality. (I'm not saying the author was trying to analyse that btw)
For a start its subjective and there's too many other factors to consider that shows why their sales weren't crash hot for non-megadrive consoles.

Nier would fit into this category. Unfairly dismissed by critics at launch due to visuals and lame side quests. Also most reviewers probably never played the two extra new game +'s that added heaps to the narrative.
Nah the generation after the PS2 killed it with better online capability.
Not to mention the fact that Arcade prices went up heaps. I remember we use to have arcades where each game cost 20c. Then as time went by, 40c, then $1, then $2 became standard.
Now arcades are filled with shitty rhythm dance games, maybe house of the dead, Daytona with 2 cars only (like whats the point? Should be at least 4) and lame fishing games or big buck.

I have Kirby's Dreamland 1 & 2 for 3ds after getting them on special. That's enough GB for me really as I still have the original GB.

Its critical, but not everything about it is negative. It certainly points out how unique it is in the series.
As bad as the things are the author has mentioned, they ain't that bad that I'd give up gaming. That's a bit too melodramatic.
