I re-played it last year. It amazed me how many mini games there are in it. I still consider it to be the best FF game.

Putting extra features and modes behind stuff like Amiibo doesn't bother me. As long as I can play the main game after I buy it I couldn't give a stuff about the extras. What are you going to miss out on? Harder modes and speed run crap. Meh.

As much as I love this game I'd prefer they get to work on a "spiritual" sequel rather than a remaster. Would prefer to see how they improve the formula rather than up the graphics on an old game. Especially one that had its flaws.

Games like these are cool, but if its going to be similar to one of those older games it really needs to have some "modern" mechanics. Like Shovel Knight did with the special moves you could do for example. I hope they deliver. Shame there's no gameplay shown in the vid.
It looks great but hardly fresh. 2d side scrolling shooters have been around for donkey years. The art style even longer.

Unpopular opinion here but I reckon COD 3 is the best one. Best maps, no carrot on a stick unlocks, no character/weapon customisation. Just six classes each on two teams and free choice over which game and game type to play.
Nah. I mean you don't have to play every game that comes out. If you space it out by skipping one every now and then its alright.

The remake was absolute garbage. The slick atmosphere was ruined by corny lines that were unnecessary. Made Conrad sound like a 14 year old with that dialogue. It was a bit janky as well. The graphics were crap compared the original as well.
The other failure was it had the original in the extras, but you had to play it with a crappy looking arcade cabinet background when it was never an arcade game to begin with. The screen was way too small. Would've been better to ju...
