Because of money. Most game studios need financial backing in order to develop games.
They dont really a choice but to delay it. PS5 pro was a bad decision and not really needed imo. They could of put all those resources towards the ps6.

The PC market is growing faster than .consoles. Its crucial that they include the PC as well. You guys are forgetting that exclusives are only a small part of the industry. Third party dominates the market. Ghost of Yotei sold 3 million copies which are good numbers but you have 90 million consoles out there but only a small portion bought the game. The PC market could easily help push that game to 6 or possibly 7 million.

Thats not the case anymore. Its more about the ecosystems. They just need the core gamers to continue to invest in that. Hardware sales are gonna stagnate, regardless.
