You have to give sony credit for sales because that's really the only positive you can say about them this gen because apparently they are buying more Microsoft published games than their own.
Nah, sony's focus on single player games is hurting them. Games are getting more expensive and taking more time to develop and they don't have much to fill in those gaps. But the bright side is ps5 only players get to play these good games. Sony doesnt have anything like a Forza 5, Halo or Gears.

For sony, I would say keep selling hardware because you're gonna need the money. When you're as rich a company as microsoft you can afford to make changes to your business model the way they do.
Forza Horizion is not a racing Sim. It does have some sim elements though. It sounds like you've never driven a vehicle on dirt or gravel. You hit the gas you will spin and slide all over the place.
