So we are comparing Rockstar that has had decades to perfect their third person formula with the GTA series to Insomniacs first crack at an open world game with Spiderman, yup that sounds pretty fair and legit. LOL

Yeah time to go media black out on this game if there are leaked or early access copies I hope they keep the spoilers to a minimum. It sucks having to wait for the official release and have people posting stuff that would be a surprise.
So salty honestly who cares just enjoy your console but don't expect to come on an open forum and think everyone will agree with you. If only that was true MS is way too corporate they stifle creativity the most creative games haven't come from them. Sunset Overdrive (Insomniac) Ori and The Blind Forest (Moon Studios) Cup Head (StudioMDHR) even long term partners have parted ways like Bungie, and Respawn. Yes MS has a lot of money but they will never get access to it because investors won't ever allow that seeing as how many of them see the xbox brand as a failure since it has lost money in the past.

It's Origins and Black Flag infused I wouldn't call that new I enjoyed both of those games but that is why making AC yearly can get tiring. Any who enjoy the game I rather wait and buy and spend my time on RD2.
Honestly after playing Origins I get the same vibe from this game. I rather wait for Red Dead 2 maybe we will something new from Rockstar Ubisoft's formula is starting to get stale at least for me. Maybe I'm wrong but I get the feeling this game is a mix of Origins and Black Flag nothing wrong with that but if that's the case I rather play RD2 instead.
Yeah this why I don't trust IGN reviews, if Origins is anything to go by Odyssey should be somewhere in the middle not as low as a 6 but certainly not as high as a 9 my guess it's a 7.5 to 8 range that is where I would put it fun enough Ubisoft does have a formula they stick to and I wonder how much that formula is starting to feel old.
Right because there aren't enough MP centric games I'm cool with linear games as are millions of people who bought God of War and Spiderman I actually prefer them to the GaaS model which MS seems to want to push.

What a load BS cross play wasn't even on anyone's radar until crap games like Fortnite made it a big deal, only a fraction of gamers care about it. We will see how important it truly is to game developers but judging by how fast Bethesda backpedal after being one of the most vocals about not being able to implement cross play do to Sony's stance it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of it was just smoke and mirrors that many developers really don't care to deal with.
I will give you that Telltale had pretty good writers but the latter games had become meh. Their best games were the Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us and probably Border Lands. It surprises me that so much lead way was given to Telltale since this style of gaming had been around for a while and they took heavily from games like Grim Fandango.
