Sure sure everyone wants BC that is why MS is killing it with the xbox one oh wait they aren't BC has never been a selling point of a console for many gamers even if it is a welcomed one it isn't a deal breaker otherwise MS would have sold way more consoles after they implemented BC which they haven't and that proves my point. Not enough people care enough about BC even if you or people like you keep crying about it.

You can down play VR all you want, all it will take is a killer app to convince many gamers hell a game like astro boy is clearly moving the pendulum towards that eventuality. MS is getting left behind and Sony is covering their six's by getting ahead. Mario 64 broke the mold with 3D gaming I suspect eventually a talented enough game developer will do the same with VR.

I had a problem with the game as well nowhere does it explain that certain aspects of the game like hunting are tied to the main story progression so if you decided to go hunt early on to upgrade satchels you would be wasting your time. I had to research online how to do this since it was never explained in the game. I can see why some people have gripes with how some things where done since they aren't explained. As for fast travel you have to actually buy the map and wait util you reloc...

The same reason Nintendo does the same thing with it's digital store but I suspect you already knew that. I could care any less about old games I have already played. People are too sensitive I can play PS1, PS2, PS3 games already and don't because I don't want to. As it is it's already hard enough keeping up with current generation games so where are people find the time to go back and play old games.

It's not a survival game because it's not essential that you eat you can play the game that way the only problem with that is that it does affect your stamina and life meter. You can completely ignore it but some of your in game stats will not improve. I suggest you try it before you knock it, it's not as bad as you think.

@ Obscure_Observer

How are they going to sell more consoles with the more power argument when they have their exclusives on PC? That is what some of you don't get it was a smart move for MS if we are to believe that the reason they did that was because the xbox one numbers combined with the S/X didn't even come close to Sony's. The reason they are pushing for MS everywhere streaming is because they aren't too confident that they will ever really compete with...

@Sirk7x

That's why they are more commonly known as casuals if that, anyone can pull out their phone and play a free to play game. Does that mean they are actual gamers that buy consoles or gaming PC's strictly to play games no they don't they are not even the same audience, I don't know many people that play on their phones only that also play on PC or consoles. They might game by definition but they are not gamers.

Hey Peter Hines how about you focus on rebuilding a new game engine instead of being twitter happy throwing shade at other companies. Maybe sort out your games first then talk smack otherwise you leave a lot of cloth to cut from.

So buying remasters isn't a choice? Whatever man I buy current generation consoles for current generation games I have a PS3 fat that is in storage if I ever wanted to play PS1,PS2 PS3 games so yeah this fake outrage by people like you is totally genuine right? MS still has a pay wall on F2P games I guess that isn't a priority for you and neither is putting pressure on EA, Activision to implement cross play that so many of you kept crying over.

At what point is Sony forcing gamers to buy these games some of which Sony doesn't even have the license for anyway so it's really not up to them.

@Bobfret

Yes things can change but Nintendo handed the crown over to Sony because they refuse to be competitive with their console hardware or allow for more mature theme games on their console. Either way as long as Sony keeps delivering game experiences like God of War and Spiderman they will be fine.

Nah they just implemented certain aspects of the game in a bad way into the storyline without ever explaining how the game systems work, for example if you wish to upgrade your satchels early on you can't so don't bother hunting because it's tied to the main quest so you would be wasting your time until you played said mission. IMO other games have implemented better upgrade and progression systems in a better way or at least made it clear what you could or couldn't do before ...

Why would anyone real gamer be worried about Sony when they have been the most consistent in delivering what most gamers want out of a console "GAMES" their track record speaks for itself. I laughed at MS fanboys when they said the PS4 had no games early on in the generation Sony always delivers games until they stop making the kind of games I enjoy then that is when I would start to worry the success and Spiderman and God of War makes be believe they will double down on those kind ...

So what you are saying is you shouldn't complain or have an opinion? I like RDR2 I have played most of the major AAA RPG's this generation and RDR2 is slow period. The story is slow pacing, your characters movement is slow, the upgrading system is slow. The game design is just slow I can see how it can be off putting to some people, the fact that you have to use a strategy guide or video tutorial to make the game experience better is very telling, I hate doing that because it takes aw...

The problem is that the game pushes back way too much the fact that you need a tutorial or strategy guide to make the experience better points to this, Rockstar did a terrible job of explaining how the systems in the game affect the world. Other games have been just as obtuse but where much better at explaining how certain things work. Bloodborne is a good example of a game that suffers from the same thing I almost gave up on that game obviously the feel of both games and themes are different...

RDR2 should be played by taking your time it's marathon not a sprint, it was a rough agonizing slow start IMO but now that some things have opened up it's becoming more enjoyable even the slow mechanics don't seem to bother me as much. Some things still bother me but I'm rather enjoying exploring and randomly meeting various characters roaming around.

I would say the Witcher 3 only because it was the first RPG this generation to really have that WOW effect, even though I'm enjoying RDR2 I have yet to have a moment that genuinely takes me by surprise. The Witcher 3 did an awesome job of doing this when I realize the epilogue was just the beginning of an epic story that hadn't even begun my jaw dropped as the map was revealed.

It was too easy to rebuttal when you mentioned KH3 as ambitious it will be a great JRPG but nothing about that game say's ambitious. Cyberpunk probably will be because CD Project red has a recent track record and has proven what they can do. The fact that you are reducing TLOU to a simple zombie game says it all.

Oh my real and video games what an oxymoron since you have to suspend your disbelief to even play video games. The fact that you are comparing a video game to reality is hilarious the purpose of video game is to be fun above everything else and some aspects of RDR2 suck IMO because they are not fun.
