"Looking for Raid, Looking for Group, Dungeon Finder, battleground queues — all of these tools make the content faster and easier to access, but greatly reduce the need to interact with other people, especially in ways that encourage camaraderie."
Because the old days of having to go to each capital to shout for a group since chat wasn't linked between all cities for each faction or waiting in front of an instance in hopes that people might show up, was always...
Nerfing sentry (only with semi auto weapons now) because of a bug that they can't fix for pvp... How nice of them... Why not fix their damn bugs to begin with...
People started going rogue after they nerfed the penalties for dying as a rogue. Abusing bugs or glitches to get better gear has only worsened that. Bring back the high penalties for going rogue (not for the 18 second accidental firing on someone, but the killing 1 or more people)
Besides pvp (which is a pain in Division with all the people abusing glitches to get the best gear or 1 shot people with various bugs), Destiny actually had good end game content in it's raids (right now eh, but at the start it was good). Division atm basically has the horde mode incursion right now. Hard mode isn't too bad, but challenging even with the right gear is over kill (not including the fact that they screwed up elite damage reduction on gear which actually increases damag...
Tried both betas for battleborn and after trying overwatch, not much of a contest. Battleborn has the borderlands grahics going for it, but overwatch is a lot more fun.
It does but in every match like in pvp, you start off at level 1. Coming from borderlands, the pve content doesn't feel as rewarding / worth the time. Feels tacked on just so they could check a box.
"- If the console is built entirely around an unappealing gimmick (like the Wii and Wii U were)"
Wii was a first and hit the causal niche. It might have been a gimmick, but kids and parents loved it, and it outsold everything. WiiU was a completely different story. Piss poor initial reveal and never any real support behind it.
The one major thing they have to do is get 3rd party support behind it. WiiU had 3rd party devs lining up at the beg...
"Some of these weapon types are clearly superior to others, too – one will soon learn, for example, that the nature of the game is designed so the shotgun just cannot be topped by any other sidearm option."
If he played the game for a while, he learn that different weapons have their places. Shotguns are nice, but the PowerShot will keep you out away from melee range (much larger range than the shotgun). Shotgunning it up in the ark with lvl 41+ mobs won't h...
Unless the xbox one version comes with all the previous DLC for free (which isn't likely since the article mentions that beyond the base game there are "more than 20 original Episodes"), then that 40 characters is a lot lower for people to try right off the bat. Most you can unlock through long periods of play, but many are locked through the cash shop and such.
Overall, a good game. Though if you don't sub, there are a lot of restrictions on free accoun...
The loop hole is if you show clips for just that video game only, the devs / pubs can file copyright claims and try to get a piece of the pie. Now if you show clips from games or IPs or such from multiple sources, you're basically making them fight among themselves / having to share with others. Who gets the bigger piece, who deserves a bigger cut or such. Makes them question whether they want to go through all that effort.
If you're level 30 and your gear score is 38, that's sad... You can get full purples from doing General Assembly (and I think 3 HE items since 1.1) and have a gear score of 131+. If you're not actually trying before you step foot it, you deserve the ganking. The real pain is them not separating the people who are gs 210+ (or 200 with the fun way of lowering your gs) from the rest.
"I don't see how that gear at 240 would have any advantage over 214 gear in the Dark Zone?"
If 1 person had full 214 gear (minus the weapons, as there are no 240 weapons right now) and another had full 240 gear (minus the weapons), the difference is the stats on the gear. The perks might be the same across levels, but you're going to have less health, power, and just plain raw damage compared to the 240 player if you're in 214. The higher the ilvl of...
It is an alpha, so don't expect amazing graphics off the bat. As for the combat, it's interesting once you understand it, but the demo tells you jack about what's what in the beginning. Was getting raped by mobs 1 on 1 till I went through the menus and found out what / how the different stances work. Learned a magic ability that should let me enchant my weapon with fire, have no clue where the help thing is on how to use it though.
Overall, combat looks promi...
It's a fun game so far. A good amount of replayability to it as well. Basically a Dialbo with guns sort of game, where every time you beat the story, mobs get higher level and drop better loot. Add in that you can do 3 levels of difficulty that add 2 levels to the mobs per difficulty (2 on pro, 4 on vet), and it can get tough at times. 4 player co-op is pretty sweet. Missions themselves are pretty straight forward and not too hard, but there are a ton of events that you can do while ...
@fashionst Nailed it. After the "innovative" game that was Unearthed (cough Uncharted rip off cough), I was wondering what they'd tried to copy next. Surprisingly not Last of Us like Foxtort mentioned.
Had to open google chrome to use the auto translate feature for the page.
Only reason would be your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th character for the weekly incursion bonus.
Always loved demon's souls. Got the limited edition (free upgrade for preorder) when it came out, which had an actual 's for the soundtrack, a nice art book, and a good physical strategy guide (you needed one to figure out world tendencies and such). The series has never been hard, just unforgiving to those that don't learn from their mistakes or try to go full ham.
So you died repeatedly and didn't learn from your mistakes? Try to find co op partners at all or check boss strategies? After the first hour, things got much easier. You just have to learn it's not COD and it's best not to go full ham.
"Games like Titanfall on the Xbox used Azure to provide locality, dedicated servers and an external AI system, and similarly Crackdown3 uses the compute power of Azure to make entire cities destructible."
Crackdown 2 is only using it for MP, somewhat like how it is in MMOs in such with dedicated servers and where AI is controled, physics are done on the server and not on the host computer / console (except in cases like destiny where the host DCing could freeze C...
