Gameplay looks good from the previews and same with customization (as long as they don't lock everything behind paywalls), curious about amount of dungeons / raids /end game content and story.
Titanfall is nothing like this... This is more like Warframe that Titanfall by a mile...
They're F2P, but run nicely and have a large playerbase. Try them out first, before spending money on a buggy game.
Judging by the video, there have been some PS4 / xbone games this year that easily beat it in term graphics and gameplay. Hell, look at RDR2 with it's huge open world, beautiful graphics, and combat / animations.
Break some NDAs, and you can face heavy financial penalties. Losing some games vs playing thousands isn't that bad. Read what you sign.
Preorder and get access to a demo a little bit earlier than anyone who doesn't preorder. Would have been shitty if they didn't let people play the demo if they didn't preorder the game - "the open demo can be experienced on February 1, 2019, and will be open to all without any pre-orders." It's basically a little bonus item for preordering the game before release.
Still hoping they show a lot more of the game before release and make it more stabl...
@philm87. Don't even look at posters or you won't feel so good after...
The story wasn't long at all. The side quests were quick. Only way it was too long to finish in 9+ months is if you have 30 minutes to play a week. At that point you save a ton of money only buying 1 game a year, so just avoid trailers for new games. Don't want to get triggered now...
@@Chaos. And everyone cries these days over the littlest of things, like spoiling the ending 9+ months later. Avengers just dropped a trailer, better not watch since 3 came out like 8 months ago...
@CD. You didn't have time to finish it when school let out for the summer? Adults with full time jobs and families could finish it in 9 months. Going to bed early during school year, I can see not having the time. But you had the whole summer.
It came out like 9 or so months ago. It didn't take long to beat at all, it's not red dead 2 or an mmo. If they did this during the summer, I could see being pissed. But over 9 months later?
Seeing as you have 1 avatar wearing multiple suits and you dont need multiple saves to place the other classes, it reminds me more of Warframe with more weighty slower pace.
Looks beautiful
The fact that it has match making for dungeons and raids is already very nice compared to other games. The gameplay video that showed off the 2 under powered Javelins ((they mentioned they didn't customize their set ups / a little low for the area), showed how you're not just stomping everything left and right. Throw in the fact that they'll be 3 to 5 different difficulty levels and you'll have a nice bit of challenge on your hands. My hope is they don't lock some custo...
Minus the insane grind for cash (by the time you hit rank 5, you can buy a shotty for $444, which you'll probably have 30 to 40 at the time..
), it's fun.
If they nerf the insane grind for some stuff, it'll be a lot better. Unlocking a shotgun at rank 5, and it costing $444 when you have like $30 to 40 from a few missions / side quests, and rifling customization for weapons cost 60 to 80... Throw in losing your skins / carcass if you get killed trying to sell at the butcher... By the time you have the money for 1 item, you've ranked up enough to get 2 or 3 more things that cost even more... They're really trying to sell those go...
This game is basically a cash grab banking on the name. Days Gone actually looks good (horde of zombies, crafting, customization, big world) and should get some extra polish with the delay.
If they give it away for free too soon, they'll have a riot with everyone that bought it for $60 at launch.
Seems like the PS4 version sold out quickly as only the xbone version is showing $27 and PS4 says from 3rd party sellers starting at like $55ish.
When you kill off several studios and games that are suppose to release soon / get hyped up, acquiring several new studios that will have games out in a couple of years is a step in the right direction. It'll help next gen at the start it, but not much for the rest of this gen.
