They're going the warframe route and selling cosmetics. No loot boxes either, you pick what you buy.

Saw this on reddit a bit ago: "Devs stated on stream that the length of the main narrative content and things to do in Anthem pre 'Elder Game' (what they are calling thier End Game events) will be equivelant to any one of thier Bioware single player games such as Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect Trilogy, or Knights of the Old Republic.

That narrative content in question was penned and completed (with extra creative idea bits for making additional content and con...

It's a 4 player co-op with a huge open world and dungeons. It's less destiny and more warframe meets diablo/mmos. 1 avatar that can switch between any of the classes at base, with a ton of loot like diablo, customization, different class builds, ability to fly around at will, and bioware's lore. Watch the video where they discuss loot and builds, as well as the dungeon videos to show class combos and such.

Choreography can be copyrighted, and in these cases the idiot's haven't done so. So until they do, they have no legal legs to stand on. Also, Alphonso already said he copied Courtney Cox in a Bruce Springsteen music video as that was the whitest dance he knew. Hard to get a copyright when you say you copied it...

If idiots don't know how to copyright their "dances" then it's not illegal. If you want to claim ownership and surrender, first step is copyrighting your stuff (and dance choreography can be copyrighted).

Yah. They're ps4 games, but not 1st party. They're third party, so congrats to their devs (sega and bandai namco).

Warframe has added new tile sets, flight missions / combat, new warframes, pets, 2 huge open worlds, revamped combat, and is set to open a spaceship combat type mode next year (railjack), all as a F2P game. If they can do all that, one new game mode should be easy for Bioware.

Seeing as it's at least 2 years off still and by that time we'll have the next gen consoles, we will have even better than what we currently have (and soon to have). Games of ps4/xbone (and people/xbonex) look a lot better than ps3/360, though those systems had amazing gems in the end. Though for how big a budget this game has and the actors / actresses, it better be amazing.

The numbers seem to be working for them. No confusion with costumers (average mom and dad, not a gamer) about whether the next iteration is a new console or a peripheral (WiiU)..

P2W is not always fun. A quick search shows some features that are making it seem like that were introduced a bit ago, so hopefully the uproar can change that.

@Teflon02. Alfonzo said he copied Courtney Cox in a Bruce Springsteen music video as it was the whitest dance he knew. He made it his own, but he probably won't win.

Carlton doesn't have a copyright for it yet, he's working on it. He did say in an interview that he copied Courtney Cox dancing in a Bruce Springsteen music (which you can find on YouTube) video as it was the whitest dance he knew. He made it his own and iconic, but he does not have a copyright yet.

As for the kid, no chance a 16 year old thought if copyrighting a stupid dance. If you want to sue in court, there are certain things you need, like a copyright.

If you file a copyright on said stupid dance, then you can sue. If not, good luck.

@rainslacker. Just posting on YouTube doesn't let you sue in court. You have to copyright it first

https://info.legalzoom.com/...

"However, it is much better to register the copyright, because it creates a public notice that you own the rights and enables you to sue in federal court if someone uses your choreography without your permission."

@Rime Keeping to gaming related topics, does this cancel out the idiot's killing net neutrality, even though most for the repeal were all bots and real humans wanted to keep it? They refused to release logs on the fake cyber attacks. Pretty much the whole administration does 1 step forward, 10 steps back. The one step forward is nice, but doesn't cancel out everything. And it's not like he can censor video games, TV shows or movies, so its basically fluff.

"There may still be a very very small chance a piece of that loot could drop somewhere else, but it would be a very rare thing to happen.", he continued.

Yah, seeing how it'll be very rare it's not like they can farm it outside of end game activities. It'll be a once in a long while you get it.

Except that he has no copyright for the dance at all. He's "in the process" of getting it copyrighted. Also, seeing as he did the dance on Fresh Prince, does he have copyright claim or the show? And he also mentioned in an interview that he copied Courtney Cox in a Bruce Springsteen video for the dance, as it was the whitest dance he knew... Hard to copyright something you copied, let alone sue for something you don't have copyrighted.

@thrash. If they stick to what they've said, microtransactions will only be cosmetic and you see what you buy, not random loot boxes. If they reverse that, then people will be pissed.

So basically how 360 had sh!t for support at the end of the gen in comparison to ps3 which saw support and some great games still come out, is what you're saying.

Sony last gen had everyone nitpicking every one if their games with a fine tooth comb. The only praise they got was for the likes of Uncharted, Last if Us, and such. Hell, KZ2 got shredded for the original trailer when the game looked miles better.
